Remembrances

“Rory was mischievious and could try the patience of anyone in authority over him. He got in trouble for infuriating Yvonne Golden, the principal at Opportunity High, dressing sloppily for service, and attitude problems generally. He had to box as punishment. (Edith Roller's Journal, 12/1/76). Rory's "little" sister was Terri Bargeman, who as I recall was taller than him, although she was one year younger. They were the only children of Dorothy "Dee Dee" Macon as far as I know. The three traveled together to Guyana on August 6. In Jonestown, his sister and mother took on full schedules in nursing, administration, or agriculture. Rory continued his studies, and spent some time on the Learning crew. RIP, little brother, you've earned it. You deserved better. ” - Kathryn Barbour
