“Thanksgiving - Oh how I remember driving from the Ranch to the Temple in SF on November 23, 1978 5 days after Marlene and so many others died in Jonestown. Marlene was the first woman whom I truly loved - in the church she took my last name as did Darius her son. I have such fond memories of Marlene to this day. I keep a picture of Marlene, Darius and Jeff on my wall to always remember both the wonderful times I had with her as well as the senseless death of her and all of the others who died on that sad day on 1978. I particularly remember the times Marlene and I had on the weekends that I stayed back on the Ranch to staff the Ranch and support the guys. Marlene at times also stayed back and we got to carve out time together. That is a good memory!” - Rob Tarver
