This tape recording was located in Jonestown, Guyana, South America, and was turned over to U.S. Officials in Guyana and subsequently transported to the United States.
On June 14, 1979, Special Agent (name deleted) reviewed the tape numbered 1B107-13. This tape was found to contain the following:
Approximately 23 minutes of sermons and faith healing by JONES.
The remaining portions of the tape appear to have no items of evidentiary value.

Approximately eight-and-a-half minutes of a laudatory speech by Dr. CARLTON GOODLET, an Editor and Publisher of the "Sun Reporter". This speech took place in the United States; following the speech, GOODLET presents JIM JONES with an award.
The remaining portions of the tape were blank and appear to contain no items of evidentiary nature.

This tape recording was located in Jonestown, Guyana, South America, and was turned over to U.S. Officials in Guyana and subsequently transported to the United States.
On June 8, 1979, Special Agent (name deleted) reviewed the tape numbered 1B102-1. This tape was found to contain the following: JAMES JONES speaking to two male members of the community who ran away and were captured.
JONES stated that this community cannot tolerate people leaving and living on their own.
The mother of one of the runaways says they should be killed and she wants to kill them, and then commit suicide so no members of the community will get in trouble with the government.

In addition, JIM JONES talks to the assembly of members and makes the following statements:
1) We want the world to know that we will either exist together or we shall die together.
2) This family will have to stay together and anyone that wants to penetrate it or to divide it or in any way circumvent it, theyre going to have hell to pay.
3) Im still pretty good with my trusty little six shooter.

On August 20, 1979, Special Agent (name deleted) reviewed the tape numbered 1B102-6. This tape was found to contain the following:
Statements of thanks to "Dad" (JIM JONES) for various things he did for them.
JIM JONES reprimanding PETE (last name unknown), who was apparently so dissatisfied with Jonestown and wanting to leave that he tried to kill himself. JONES verbally assaults "PETE" with profanity and a couple of times actually physically beats him in front of congregation.
Majority of the tape is blank.

Suicide is discussed at this meeting in a joking manner.

RYAN at Port Kaituma, Guyana, South America, on November 18, 1978, a tape recording was obtained. This tape recording was located in Jonestown, Guyana, South America, and was turned over to U.S. Officials in Guyana and subsequently transported to the United States.
On June 9, 1979, Special Agent (name deleted) reviewed the tape numbered 1B102-12. This tape was found to contain the following: JIM JONES conducting a "Peoples Rally" question and answer session wherein he states " to kill me or do anything against this movement would create a very bad bloodbath..." JONES then polls the membership to take the names of those who "still fear death and miss America" in order that they receive "special counseling". This is followed by portions of two radio broadcasts with JONES and MIKE PROKES concerning the life of the elderly at Jonestown and the "conspiracy" against Peoples Temple.

JIM JONES talks about the recent death of an elderly female Jonestown resident then talks about the "conspiracy" and says, "Ive made plans to protect these people Ill call up my aces in the hole you cant put me in a grave and get away with it".
This is followed by criticisms of work habits and performance and criticisms of the "Relationship Committee."

JONES leads a sermon to a California congregation coupled with question and answer sessions. JONES endorses the philosophies of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) and its activities. This sermon lasts approximately 49 minutes.
The other side contains the same sermon which has been reversed through technological error.
