There will be a memorial service at Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 11 A.M. on 18 November 2003 marking the 25th anniversary of the deaths in Jonestown, Guyana. Pastor Jynona Norwood will preside. The San Francisco Public Library will be doing a series of 25th anniversary commemorative exhibits, including both Jonestown and the City Hall assassinations. The San Francisco History Center will put on a small (6-8 cases) exhibit, in conjunction with the California Historical Society, on Jonestown and City Hall. Additional details about these events will be posted at this URL as they become available.

A panel discussion on "Jonestown 25 Years Later: A Look Back" will be held on Wednesday, November 19 at the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library. See "Jonestown 25 Years Later" for more information.

Three theatrical readings of Hyacinth Thrash's memoirs, "The Onliest One Alive" will be held in Indianapolis in November. See Indianapolis Theatre Production for more information.

Hue Fortson Jr. is hoping to touch base with other survivors at the 25th Anniversary Memorial Service.

"'Do, Lord, Remember Me': Peoples Temple and Jonestown 25 Years Later" is an audio-documentary and call-in show airing Tuesday, November 18, 8:00-11:00 p.m. on WBAI-FM 99.5 (the New York tri-state area). It will be simulcast on http://www.wbai.org.

The "Sunday Salon" with Larry Bensky will feature a two-hour program on Peoples Temple and Jonestown, on Pacifica affiliates KPFA, 94.1 FM in Northern California, 88.1 FM in Central California, and KPFK, 90.7 FM in Southern California. The program will air on Sunday morning, 16 November, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and will begin by re-playing a radio documentary produced in 1978. On-air guests include Hue Fortson, a former member of Peoples Temple and a resident of Jonestown; Donnetter Lane, director of the San Francisco Council of Churches who was responsible for getting unidentified bodies buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Oakland; and Fielding McGehee III, editor of the jonestown report.
