“We were distant cousins, but I am glad that we did share quality and special time together when the Temple was in San Francisco. Always know your family loves you, Velma although you may be gone you will never be forgotten. You were a good hard working, nurturing and loving mother who believed in discipline Louisiana style). All your children were well mannered and respectful and you would never except any less than obedience and respect. ” - Yulanda Williams

“Velma was my beautiful grandmother. I always wondered who I looked like in my family, I look like Velma. I am so grateful for this website and to see this picture of her. I had never seen a picture of any of my relatives that died in Jonestown. I was too young to remember them because I was born in 1972. My mom took me to Jonestown to visit my grandma and she tried to convince my mom to let her keep me. Velma's oldest son, Roy Page, is my father. He did not go to Jonestown and he does not have any pictures of his relatives that died there. My grandma Velma had a twin sister, whom I never met. If any of Velma's family reads this message, please feel free to contact me in Oakley, California. ” - Keela Page
