“I always loved Lucille. She was one of the seniors who I spent time with over the years in Peoples Temple. She was friendly and fun, and outspoken. I remember seeing her often take others to task for not working hard enough, or not to her standard. She seemed so at home in Guyana. She was determined to bring out the best in everyone and to have a product she was proud of. She was very active in Peoples Temple in the states and kept it up once she went to Jonestown. Other seniors looked to her as a roll model.” - Laura Johnston Kohl
