Re: RYMUR

FBI file no: 89-4286
Lab. No.: 81204066 S TH

Specimens received: December 24, 1978

Q40-Q41 Two metal fragments

Result of examination:

Specimen Q40 is a metal fragment which bears no observable bullet characteristics or microscopic marks of value for comparison with a suspect weapon.

Specimen Q41 is a bullet jacket fragment which is too minute to determine caliber or manufacturer. The partial rifle impressions remaining in Q41 would tend to indicate that Q41 was fired from the barrel of a weapon with right twist rifling. The microscopic marks remaining in Q41 are not sufficient for identification purposes.

Specimens Q40 and Q41 are being returned to the San Juan Division under separate cover by registered mail.
