“We called her Ravena Beam. She was the wife of Jack Beam and a ball of fire. Ravena was my guardian while I was pregnant with my son Jakari. Joe worked nights, so I went to stay at her and Jack's house at night in the last couple of weeks before my due date. She fed me well and we would talk about her life when she was young and just about life. Ravena did not take any mess off of anyone. She was very outspoken. One night I went to the bathroom and my water broke. Hearing me scream she ran into the bathroom. I was in shock, somehow i missed the part that I was going to wet on myself. She told me what had happened and gave me a towel. She called Joe at work and Jack beam. Joe got there first and we went to the hospital. Ravena was famous for her peanut butter fudge. Peace and Blessings ” - Leslie Cathey(Wilson)
