Remembrances |
|
“Leon had two families in Jonestown. He had a relationship in Redwood Valley with Barbara Farrell, 45, that I knew about, but he is identified here as the husband of Florence Heath and the stepfather of her children – Mary Morton, 36, and Michael Heath, 14 – and the grandfather of Mary's daughter, Gloria Victoria Parker, 8. Leon was a hard worker, but always helpful and generally jovial when asked.
Leon was a truck driver, whose work entailed regular absences. He was not often involved in projects to my knowledge, though he attended services regularly when in town. He went communal in 1976, less than a year before his departure ( Edith Roller's journals for September 1976). In Jonestown, he was a tractor driver and carpenter.
Rest in well-earned peace, Brother Perry. You are missed and remembered always.” - Kathryn (Tropp) Barbour |
