Remembrances |
|
“Glenda Polite was a dedicated and active member for the eight years I was in the Temple. She was well respected and liked by everyone for her calmness, sensibility, maturity and organizational skills. Working with her was fun, as when she helped us hand-collate the pages of a book (by Mary Warner) on the Persecution of Black Elected Officials in the US, in the dining room at the San Francisco Temple in 1977, shortly before her departure. In Jonestown, Glenda supervised orchard crews and gave progress reports on the orchards once or twice a week, along with supervisors of other agricultural and livestock departments. Glenda, you were so good, so strong, and so true. You were too much to lose. May your soul be at rest with the angels, home at last. You are missed and remembered always, by more than you or I can ever know.” - Kathryn (Tropp) Barbour |
