Remembrances |
|
“Adeleine Strider and her sister Madeleine Brooks lived in Peoples Temple, and in Redwood Valley while I lived there. I became friends with the sisters early on. They were very down-to-earth and friendly. We ended up sitting together onthe bus, or in meetings often enough. I liked them both so much. I also liked that it was so easy to remember their names - Madeline and Adeleine. They were competent and warm members of the Peoples Temple family. They seemed to have lived good, solid lives, working hard and finding peace. ” - Laura Johnston Kohl |
