Remembrances |

“Gary Tyler was the assistant to Scott Thomas, Jr, 21, our impresario of P.A. recordings and microphones for performance. Their lieutenant was Lillie Victor, 20. As closely as they worked over the years, and as tightly coordinated as they always were, I see all three listed as "singles" in Jonestown, so they must have loved their jobs as much as they seemed to, and despite their close working relationship, never dallied with personal involvements, not with each other or anybody else.
This team that stood the test of time had another thing in common. None of them had any family members in Jonestown. They all came to the Temple alone, but were never alone, really. Gary, you and your coworkers were a symphony of intense focus and cooperation in action, and we were touched by angels, just having you among us for awhile. RIP, Gary, you were so fine. You will live in our hearts forever.” - Kathryn (Tropp) Barbour |
