Remembrances |

“One of my dearet friends in California and in Jonestown was Mary Wotherpoon. In California, I sometimes spent the night at her care home so that she could get a break and go to the Redwood Valley service. She was a Light - in every setting, her cheer and calmness were like a sweet balm. She handled great responsibility with ease, and was a caring and utterly dependable friend. We had many riotous times in our outings with her patients from her care home. She was always thoughtful and I mis her. Her parenting of her darling daughter Mary was wonderful to see. Mary worked so hard to make a better world for her daughter Mary. She would have had a great impact on the world had she survived. ” - Laura Johnston Kohl“ Feeling Groovy – Honoring My Friendship With Mary Wotherspoon ” - Sue Murphy |
