At a recent press conference in San Francisco, Terri Buford, an alleged defector from the People’s Temple (PT) who was a high functionary in the PT, advised Senator Barry Goldwater was on the PT’s alleged hit list.<\/p>\n
Three points need to be made concerning this information: 1) In an FBI interview of Buford, the specific question was asked of her as to the identities of persons on the alleged hit list. She advised there was no written hit list but several persons\u2019 names were given by Buford. Senator Goldwater’s name was not given at that time; 2) The alleged hit list varied <\/p>\n

from time to time depending upon who Jim Jones was unhappy with at the time; 3) Some persons\u2019 names were on the alleged hit list as far back as three years ago and nothing has happened to those people.<\/p>\n
Depending upon the Senator\u2019s location, Washington Field Office (WFO) and Phoenix are requested to advise Senator Goldwater and local authorities of the above information.<\/p>\n
