On January 23, 1979, Colonel [William] Cowan, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. (WDC), was furnished the biographical data sheets as sent to Washington Field in the referenced Baltimore letter. Colonel Cowan noted that the medical files of the Jones family, particularly Jim Jones, were either nonexistent or sketchy at the time they were <\/p>\n

recovered from the Jonestown dispensary. Any copies of medical records of the Jones family which may have been found later would be helpful to them.<\/p>\n
[Name deleted], Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), Commissioner\u2019s Office of Inspections, WDC, was furnished, on January 23, 1979, the list of ten survivors of Jonestown who are currently residing in Guyana (re San Francisco tel dated January 19, 1979. He advised he would notify New York and Miami INS on that date and place a special 90 day lookout. He has not been able to locate any of the stops sent by Washington Field to INS.<\/p>\n
