Moore, Jr.<br \/>\nAssistant Director<br \/>\nCriminal Investigative Division<\/p>\n<p>CIVIL LITIGATION INVOLVING PEOPLES TEMPLE<\/p>\n<p>Enclosed for your assistance in the handling of civil litigation involving the People&#8217;s Temple are copies of a group of documents received from [name deleted] [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Pat Richartz<\/span>], assistant to attorney Charles Garry, the People&#8217;s Temple (PT) attorney. The enclosures are being furnished to you as they tend to indicate the relationship and proposed relationship of the members to the People&#8217;s Temple.<\/p>\n<p>Enclosures (5)<\/p>\n<p>DES\/jap<\/p>\n<p>Note: At the 1\/5\/79, Washington, DC meeting with Associate Attorney General Michael Egan, one of the attendees, Stuart Schiffer, Civil Division, DOJ, indicated an interest in documents which showed a relationship between the members and the Temple. In particular, Schiffer was in hopes of finding a document which indicated a member would give the Temple all of his\/her worldly goods in exchange for the Temple taking care of the member for the rest of his\/her life \u2013 including burial.
