RYAN, NOVEMBER 18, 1978, AT PORT KAITUMA, GUYANA.<\/p>\n<p>As you are aware, the FBI is conducting a criminal investigation into the death of Congressman Leo J. Ryan as captioned. Accordingly, the course of our investigation could be aided by obtaining a copy of State Department&#8217;s internal report of the State Department investigation into the events surrounding the death of the congressman.<\/p>\n<p>State Department is requested to furnish FBI Headquarters, Attention Personal Crimes Unit, a copy of the above-mentioned State Department report.
