Contact with NBC News, Washington, DC, revealed that Charles Krause had not returned to WDC as of 9\/23\/80. Information received indicated that itineraries for foreign correspondence are handled through NBC New York, telephone number (212) 644-4691. Employees at the Washington Bureau of NBC advised that the New York Bureau will be able to provide information regarding foreign correspondent’s current location and itineraries. They pointed out that the Washington office is usually not aware of any arrival of foreign correspondents prior to their arrival at Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

A message was left at the Washington Bureau for Mr. Krause to contact the C-4 Supervisor at Washington Field Office upon his arrival in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n
Should Mr. Krause contact Washington Field, he will be advised to contact US Attorney G. William Hunter, San Francisco, telephone (415) 556-2308, as soon as possible. WFO will so advise San Francisco upon contact with Mr. Krause. Until we contact is made, WFO is placing this case in RUC status.<\/p>\n
