Her numerous articles\u00a0for this site appear\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=17023\">here<\/a>. She died on March 29, 2022 of pancreatic cancer. McGehee III is <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=117826\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MaryAnne Duffin Scheid Casanova (Touchette)<\/strong>, a Jonestown resident who survived the tragedy by being in Georgetown with her daughter Dianne, died on April 28, 2022. She was 80. Her other three children \u2013 Donald, Angelique, and Sophia \u2013 died in Jonestown. MaryAnne later married another survivor, Charlie Touchette. Dianne\u2019s remembrance of her mother is <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=117783\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ron Crawford<\/strong>, who left Jonestown with his wife Yulanda Williams in June 1977, died on January 4, 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Conn<\/strong>, who described himself as an \u201cinvestigator of the Jim Jones Peoples Temple cult for nine years prior to the Guyana mass murder\u201d \u2013 and whom Temple members described as a Treasury Department agent who worked with apostates Deanna and Elmer Mertle to sabotage Temple humanitarian efforts \u2013 died\u00a0on December 31, 2021, of Parkinson\u2019s disease. Along with George Klineman and Sherman Butler, he co-authored\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/cultthatdied.pdf\"><em>The Cult that Died<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(New York: G.P. Putnam\u2019s Sons, 1980). His articles on this site appear\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=16535\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter Elsass<\/strong>, a Danish filmmaker who was the last person to visit Jonestown before the deaths in 1978, died in October 2022. His reflections on that visit, written for <em>the jonestown report<\/em> in 2018, appears <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=81530\">here<\/a>.
