Jones:<\/strong> Why\u2013 Why, man, are we going all over it? So, this is a\u2013 this is a\u2013 we are in a\u2013 a Cold War getting hotter. [Unintelligible] reported it today and of course the government\u2019s not in session and they\u2019re not in residence. And, uh, personally I\u2019m\u2013 I\u2019m sure they\u2019re making contact tonight, uh, I\u2019ve earlier tonight made contact with some of our dear friends at the head of the party, and uh, Doctor [Ptolemy] Reid, the Deputy uh\u2013 Deputy Prime Minister, and other important officials like the head of immigration. But it\u2019s a serious<\/em> business that they would move up\u2013 step it up, and we have the memo in our hands. It\u2019s not a theory, not something that\u2019s important to us, we have the memo. From the States. We had to see it with our own eyes before we would operate<\/em> on it, we had to know<\/em> that this is for real<\/em>. And here it says, \u201cAll Mail Return to Sender\u201d. Any mail from Guyana\u2013 for Guyana. Return it to sender. Or, in some cases \u2013 like the Social Security \u2013 send it to such-and-such an office. They put various stamps on it to where they want the mail to go. They don\u2019t\u2013 Sometimes they don\u2019t<\/em> send it back to sender. Sometimes if they want to see what\u2019s in the mail, they send it someplace else. Up at [unintelligible] they send it back to the\u2013 to whatever department has their stamp on them. It\u2019s a clear order. It\u2019s very<\/em> clearly<\/em> written up to the Postal Department\u2013 and the Postal Department\u2013 I never did know that Social Security had any authority over the Postal Department, but you find out a hell of a lot of things when you live outside and look at that big fascist monster. You find out a lot<\/em> of things about that fascist monster that you don\u2019t see inside<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Female voice in crowd<\/strong>: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> Social Security\u2019s not supposed to be able to order<\/em> the Postal Department what to do. But, uh\u2013 and then they\u2013 they ordered the Social Security Department\u2019s Interpol\u2013 that\u2019s an international police, and not even a United States police, made up of Nazis. And they\u2019re ordering everybody around. They\u2019re telling\u2013 they\u2019re giving the orders to what the [unintelligible word] what the United States\u2019 supposed to do. It\u2019s a very weird, weird<\/em> situation<\/em>, where a Nazi police of the leading capitalist countries are actually telling governmental agencies what to do and what not to do. Not US police, but uh\u2013 not US FBI, but Interpol, which is more and more in our finding is uh, synonymous with CIA. We are finding ourselves right in the hotbed of the CIA. And this, which is no surprise to us. We had been in the Treasury Department, we had been in the Los Angeles Police Department and the San Francisco Police Department, and we\u2019ve got in a new<\/em> one now. I\u2019ve forgotten what it is, some institute connected with the American University<\/em>, that\u2019s doing a lot of dirty work for the government. Supposed to be a university training people in, uh, uh\u2013 to train them abroad<\/em>, but we find out it\u2019s a\u2013 it\u2019s a secret arm of the conspiracy. And, uh, that may not alarm some people here, but it uh\u2013 some of you who are yawning and uh, playing around here, you may get to die<\/em> in another few hours. Now how\u2019s that bore you? [Short laugh under breath] I notice it got mighty quiet now [stumbles]. [Speaking frantically] All of you looking at me now, aren\u2019t ya. Hmm. You\u2019re all looking at me real\u2013 real good right now. There may be a hole for every one of us.<\/p>\n

Unidentified male<\/strong>: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

Crowd<\/strong>: Right.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> How\u2019s that bomb you? Say, \u201cI\u2019ll go back.\u201d They won\u2019t let<\/em> you go back. No matter what you wanna do, won\u2019t let you. They start some goddamn war, they won\u2019t\u2013 won\u2019t let you. And that\u2019s a war,<\/em> when you start meddling with people\u2019s mail. When you tell a whole government that they cannot get their mail<\/em>. When you tell all the people in a country that they cannot get their mail. That\u2019s not just the United States, [unintelligible word] that\u2019s a whole lotta people who earn Social Security over there in\u2013 in the United States, hundreds of people retire here after they\u2019ve made their living over there, \u2018cause they can\u2019t stand the racism<\/em>. So, that\u2019s pretty serious business. And what it means? Time will tell. At least it means that we will, uh, uh, get to\u2013 we won\u2019t have to wait on the sadness of the graveyard, and we won\u2019t have to go through the hell that I had to go through last night, the hell I don\u2019t have to go through any more, because I just had a little sensation that it wouldn\u2019t be done just exactly like it ought to be done, and I have to go through that hell with the\u2013 with the stalwart comrade [Lynetta Jones], who\u2019d been uh\u2013 I suppose through life the best friend I<\/em> had had, and indeed was the best friend you\u2019d<\/em> had, because she allowed me<\/em> to be your<\/em>protector at the point of never even feeling free to develop any kind of faith or accepting a healing<\/em> from me. I had to work with her so hard to keep her from a stroke the other night, when she was in that stroke, because I, uh\u2013 you could just feel her resistance <\/em>to me. She didn\u2019t want me\u2013 to take any energy from me, she couldn\u2019t come to me because she couldn\u2019t stand the pain in me, the terrible pain that people put me through. She couldn\u2019t stand it, she couldn\u2019t stand the betrayal. And the little lady\u2019s gone, and I had to stand there and watch the\u2013 all the nails be put in the coffin just right. And then I had to stand there as a communist. When some of you fuckers are stealers, thieves, I have to stand there as a communist and take the clothes from her that I\u2013 that\u00ad others had slipped on her, trying to do right, by me, but it\u2019s not communistic because the dead can\u2019t wear clothes. \u2018Cause that was a hellish pain to me to have to go through that mess, and I don\u2019t wanna<\/em> go through that mess anymore, and each time one of you would go, if you didn\u2019t follow my teachings, uh, you c\u2013 couldn\u2019t accept healing or you didn\u2019t believe in it, uh, that\u2019s what I\u2019ll have to do, I\u2019d have to see that you were then\u2013 then, to see that they were put in there right and not just treated like uh, a bag of flour. And there was a number of factors that had c\u2013 caused me concern, and I had a thought that there\u2019d be some old scraps that would have padded the box well<\/em>, but there was nothing<\/em> in the box at all, but just a\u2013 just a kind of a\u2013 uh, something draping it. I didn\u2019t want coloration, I just sort of wanted something for two-fold reasons, that would be soft to the\u2013 to the, uh, box. I suppose a little bit of the\u2013 the illusionary\u2013 the say, resurrection\u2013 I don\u2019t\u2013 I\u2019ve seen everything else happen. I\u2013 I\u2013 it wouldn\u2019t be as soft as that, but what was more concerning to me was that some fool later trying to say that we\u2019d done something to her, which she could have been dug up and there would have been no sores. I wanted her padded, but that wasn\u2019t done, that wasn\u2019t done. I wanted, uh, I wanted her to be\u2013 because there wasn\u2019t a mark on her body. We\u2019ve given good medical care. And the same with Emmet [Griffith]\u2013 that Emmet, uh, his wife [Mary Magdaline Griffith] didn\u2019t want him moved at times, and wouldn\u2019t even have a slight little bruise on him, but you have to move patients. And\u2013 and\u2013 and if they won\u2019t uh, let you move them\u2013 you must<\/em> move them. Because you don\u2019t\u2013 there\u2019s far more pain they\u2019ll develop from these horrible decubiti, the bed sores that eat right into their bone. And there\u2019s nothing so painful\u2013 they never heal on people who are laying. And uh, so we\u2013 we saw that\u2013 that she didn\u2019t have a mark on her body, and I thought, well, we could\u2013 maybe we could be inventive and find some old sacks or some old pieces of rag, but uh, when I got in, all, uh, all I saw was a\u2013 was a curtain<\/em>. And perhaps I didn\u2019t communicate myself, and very likely, so I didn\u2019t make any issue of it, but it was hell<\/em> to go through. And I saw a good pair of socks, and I thought, well, there is\u2013 uh, here\u2019s a mother over here that she\u2019s standing in line who could use that pair of socks. I couldn\u2019t put those warm for us\u2013 good, brand-new socks on her. But, the hell to have to go through and take that off\u2013 I don\u2019t give a shit about facing a war, it, uh\u2013 to me, anything\u2013 I went through as much hell as I\u2019d want to last night, from the years on back, that capped it all, uh, what I had to go through last night, and I thought, they never<\/em> will get these nails in there. I had to stand, and, uh, just in my feeling and it was right<\/em>\u2013 I\u2013 I was right in my feeling, to see that it was done just like it ought to be done. And I know that my son, uh, Stephan [Jones], felt the same kind of compunction over there at the grave, uh, did an ex\u00ad\u2013 excellent job, to see that dirt would not go down on the remains, and, uh, to be sheltered that he will do with each of you if that were to happen, if you didn\u2019t believe in healing or couldn\u2019t follow medical advice, as my mom just couldn\u2019t do<\/em>it\u2013 she wouldn\u2019t<\/em> do it. She\u2019s a strong-willed stubborn soul. And, uh, I\u2013 she coulda had many more years but, uh, she just, uh, umm-umm [No]. She had her way of doing things. And that\u2013 that at one point worked great things for you and me, in the sense that she stood up against the FBI for hours and hours and hours, and it worked great things for you and me. And a lot of you folk are good folk, but you just won\u2019t listen to anything medically. We walk around with tons of f\u2013 flesh on your\u2013 on your bones and expect me in the last minute to heal you. No, I can\u2019t. Can\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Crowd<\/strong>: Murmured affirmation<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> When you don\u2019t follow instructions, and you don\u2019t listen to what I tell you, you walk around just begging for a stroke and begging for a high, uh\u2013 high, uh, hypertension and diabetes, don\u2019t expect me to pull some kind of uh, a, uh, wand, a miracle, and pull a stunt, and something out of the grab bag at the last minute, and say \u201cWell, I\u2019ll do as I please if Father\u2019s gonna heal me,\u201d no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You have a right to go up there and eat like a dog, but you also have a right then to die<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Crowd<\/strong>: Right!<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> Because I can\u2019t do anything about that. I can\u2019t do anything about it. I do more than any on\u2013 on Earth has ever done, and ever\u2013 anyone\u2013 a human being will be able to do. I have seen resurrection from me, and I know it never existed from anybody else, and I doubt if anybody else will be able to do it that comes down the road. I have done phenomenon that astounded me, and phenomenon that don\u2019t mean a damn to me, and perhaps that\u2019s just exactly why it doesn\u2019t. Other than the few times I\u2019ve saved people from para\u2013 paralysis, or strokes, or my mom like I did two nights before, from being paralysed. That<\/em> would\u2019ve been a crime, to see her uh, unable to talk, or unable to move, one side unable to even, uh, barely<\/em> more than listen, and her tongue hanging out from complete paralysis, and, all this, the saliva going down her throat, down her face, and down her clo\u2013 uh, her gown, that woulda been a hell. I did<\/em> pull her out of that, but, in that beautiful will of hers, she even resisted that, she didn\u2019t want any part. Didn\u2019t want to take from me, didn\u2019t want to take from me, didn\u2019t want to take from me. And only thing she\u2019d ever talked to me about, was uh, the time I came by for one<\/em> day, since I been here, I got to lay down for an hour and rest. And she talked to me once, and said, \u201cJim, you got to rest, my son, you got to rest on my bed.\u201d And that was the way she looked at me. And as she told different ones of you, like Tish [Leroy], \u201cI could never become as a child to him. Everybody else is a child to him.\u201d She said, \u201cI can\u2019t be\u2013 I\u2019m going to be the mother. And I\u2019d have to be the child<\/em> to him to receive from him. I\u2019d have to be the child to receive healing. And I can\u2019t think in those ways, I can\u2019t take the energy from him.\u201d She believed I could do it for you<\/em>. And indeed would do it in times, in the matter of pneumonia, she put the cloth on. Said she\u2019d wouldn\u2019t [unintelligible word] extra care. She\u2019d wear the cloth, you know. But, uh, to get the kind of faith, and then also to get the kind of structure\u2013 \u2018cause she\u2019s strong willed. She just did not want to\u2013 The night that she died, I told her, \u201cMom, you\u2019ve got to change that position. You\u2019re laying in the wrong position.\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t want to be bothered, I don\u2019t want to be bothered.\u201d I said, \u201cWell, Mother, I love you, it\u2019s your business, it\u2019s your business, but\u2013\u201d She said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be bothered,\u201d and she looked up at uh\u2013 at Cheryle [Darnell McCall], I think, and I know\u2013 Esther [Mueller], and she said, uh\u2013 she said \u201cWill you tell these two ladies, will you tell these two ladies that I want them sitting in peace!\u201d Well, that was my mother. But they were trying<\/em> to help her, because she was\u2013 she was leaning on that toilet, and uh, sitting on that toilet too long, and bent over, and I knew it, and I was trying to get her to move, and trying, but I thought then, it\u2019s better that she have peace. Better to sit here in peace. Because you can\u2019t change\u2013 And I said that to my mom, and I say it to you, \u201cIt\u2019s hard to change people. Can\u2019t teach old dogs \u2013 sweet, lovely, loyal, old dogs \u2013 hard to teach old dogs new tricks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crowd<\/strong>: Murmured affirmation.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> They just don\u2019t want to listen to you. So she knew more about how she wanted to sit on the toilet, and she made her decision, she\u2013 she had that right to die. She was\u2013 She having trouble getting her breath, and she worried about everything. And the major one\u2013 the major things that was done to her was to worry her with some of the things around here. People always go in and tell her, when something happened to me or\u2013 or we\u2019re in some kind of a crisis and when the two [likely Brian Davis and Tommy Bogue] ran away, they had to tell her, and she worried about that for hours, had a major attack. And then her next major attack is when uh, something happened here to me and Stephan, and when Stephan suffered the most, and\u2013 So, some people here with a big mouth just kinda helped kill her, and our enemies out there helped kill her, because she just didn\u2019t have the will to fight all that. She worried too much about the people she loved. I have that same problem. I have that same problem. So, you have to worry and watch that you don\u2019t worry me too much, as I worry about all of you. But, uh, actually, when I think they\u2019re going to put\u2013 give us no choices, and it means that we\u2019re maybe able to fight for Guyana, or fight those\u2013 uh, those fascists outside and those inside that may have those CIA connections, and fight with the good socialist leaders of this country and actually a ba\u2013 a physical battle\u2013 it doesn\u2019t bother me at all. [unintelligible phrase], you\u2019d sure wake up when we\u2019d talk about that, because you\u2013 that means that a good half of you will die<\/em>. Right on the spot<\/em>. You won\u2019t have any choices, one way or the other, about that. Some of the others, you may run and you may bolt<\/em>, but you\u2013 you\u2019ll still die sometime. And we who die first<\/em>\u2013 because some of us will not uh\u2013 will not bolt and will not run, and we\u2019ll run up and then meet it and if we run out of guns, and we run out of a weapon, and we run out of a cutlass, they\u2019ll still have to kill us. [Wnintelligible word] make somebody kill you, you can make somebody kill you.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Peace. You certainly can make somebody kill you. And then, if you don\u2019t like what they\u2019re going to do, and I\u2019m about to\u2013 to tell them, to tell them, listen, tell them on that radio, they better release those Social Security things, tell them there\u2019s gonna be a\u2013 there\u2019s gonna be a fast<\/em>, we will put on a fast, every one of us\u2013 we seniors will put on a fast and we will not eat.<\/em> And they\u2019ll have to come out here and make<\/em> us eat.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Peace. You hear what I\u2019m saying? I didn\u2019t say our children. But some of us will put on a fast. By God, we\u2013 we will be heard and we\u2019ll get right on that radio and tell \u2018em a\u2013 all over the fuckin\u2019 world that we\u2019re gonna fast, \u2018til we get our goddamn money.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: We got a right to do that. Peace. And before we starve, I\u2019ll have some other things, but I won\u2019t tell it over the radio. Next thing we\u2019ll do, we\u2019ll keep that little trade secret. But I\u2019m\u2013 I\u2019m certainly not gonna let us stand here and starve to death to suit the fascists. [Short laugh] But we\u2019ll tell \u2018em we\u2019re gonna fast a while, and we will, we\u2019ll make it nervous, we\u2019ll make some\u2013 we\u2019ll make some headlines in certain parts of the world, if the capitalist world ignore us. And even they like the story, they like to hear about socialists that are s\u2013 uh, that are fasting, going [stumbles] without their food, so, they\u2019ll write a little bit about that. And I\u2019m sure they\u2019ll write about the next, uh, second and the third and the fourth stages of it. Mm-hmm [Yes]. \u2018Cause I got some\u2013 I got it all laid out. You know, some of you plan about, oh, you know, who you\u2019re going to marry, and the relationship committee, and who you\u2019re going to fuck. I got a lot of plans too. My\u2013 I ain\u2019t thinking about fucking\u2013 I\u2019m thinking about raping<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Peace. And I ain\u2019t thinking about dicks and vaginas. Got different folks who are gonna visit us in different times. I got all kinds of, uh, programs. Based upon how\u2013 what kind of a birthday party they want, or what kind of an anniversary they want, when all these distinguished people come through. And some of you are too na\u00efve, <\/em>you don\u2019t know what I mean, what\u2013 what Jim Jones is all about, you can\u2019t even follow him. You haven\u2019t even\u2013 you haven\u2019t even smelled<\/em> where he’s at, yet\u2013 much less followed him. You don\u2019t even know who he is, and you might miss him if you didn\u2019t have a real good look at him, you wouldn\u2019t even know who he looked like. You really haven\u2019t got next to him, but I\u2019ve got all kinds<\/em> of things in store. They better release<\/em> that goddamn money, because I don\u2019t die easy. That\u2019s one thing I refuse to do, I don\u2019t die easy. I don\u2019t accommodate my enemies. I raise a lot of hell when they start taking your<\/em> rights away, when they start doing things to you that are not right, I like to make \u2018em lot of hell \u2018em.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Peace. You\u2013 you who are stupid pissants, and reptiles, and lord of the primates, you can make the whoopie, if you want. But, uh, your whoopie makes me sicky.<\/em> And so you can make your whoopie while I do something that\u2019s far<\/em> more significant. You fuck\u2013 you can\u2019t hardly get it on in the first place anyone [unintelligible word] with you don\u2019t know what you had. But I surely will know, if they keep fucking with you, I will know<\/em> what\u2019s gone take place. I got me some big<\/em> plans. Big here, there, and everywhere. Mm-hmm.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Got lots of plans. I only just have to just gargle right over the radio, and all hell\u2019ll break loose. Not quite that s\u2013 significantly. But just\u2013 just one word, to one person. And another word to another person. And it sounds like aimless little talk about the sunshine. But if I start that conversation, the whole fuckin\u2019 world\u2019s gonna know that we<\/em>came along. And I may lose a lot of my memory, but I won\u2019t lose those<\/em> words. One word starts one group to praying, another word starts another group to praying, another word starts some other group to praying, another word starts some little old sister on her way to shopping in San Francisco to go some other plane. [Pause] [Short laugh] Yeah.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: [Pause] They wanna get off that\u2013 off our fucking backs. That\u2013 these\u2013 these people earned this money. You\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: \u2013serious about it. Now I don\u2019t know, I been through this shit so much, I don\u2019t know what to do with this shit. [Pause] They\u2019re here telling these people\u2013 it\u2013 outrageous. I don\u2019t know. Here we go again, this is shit about the time [unintelligible word]. I\u2013 I want to hear from the good man back there, Ron [unintelligible], some of you people are so outrageous [stumbles over words, unintelligible] not gone be very well. Yes, uh, you were here to say something, Ron.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: [Stumbles over words] \u2013talk about death? Sure, it\u2019s all pressures. It\u2019s pressures\u2013 intimidating pressures. Pressures pressures pressures pressures. \u2018Cause they tried all kinds of shit already. They threaten them with the International Monetary Fund. We\u2013 we\u2019re fairly secure, you can feel reasonably secure, with the government, the\u2013 the present government, unless they throw a coup d\u2019etat, you know. Unless they just think they come in with napalm bombs\u2013 then what the fuck do we\u2013 uh, they haven\u2019t been able to do that in Africa, so I doubt<\/em> they\u2019re going to risk it over here, uh, they, uh, got thrown out of Vietnam. The United States is slightly hesitant to start another one because that\u2019s when the young boys \u2013 the narcissistic boys and their mamas \u2013 start protesting<\/em>. That\u2019s the only reason we got out of Vietnam, because our people wouldn\u2019t tolerate that war<\/em> anymore. And we don\u2019t know how to win \u2018em anyway. We never win at jungle warfare. We lost it in Cambodia, we lost it in Vietnam, and they\u2019re afraid of having jungle warfare anywhere \u2018cause they lose<\/em> every goddamn place they go. The United States just doesn\u2019t have the belly, and uh, the steel, the spine, to fight a war in a jungle<\/em>. So, uh, they\u2019ll have to do it in all kinds of monkeyshine like they\u2019re pulling right now. And they tried uh, innumerous pre\u2013 innumerable places. They promised uh, bad press, and they promised good<\/em> press. They told this government that they would tear them up with\u2013 in the press, or they told them they would, uh, build \u2018em\u2013 they\u2019d build them up if they, uh, pushed us out. Got rid of our\u2013 the association with us. But they\u2019re very, very afraid of a radical, communist group in their northwest district. They\u2019re very afraid of that\u2013 uh, the United States is, and the imperialists. Not this government. Because the Prime Minister [Forbes Burnham] turned right around and said that we were indispensable<\/em> to the security of Guyana. Now I haven\u2019t fully asked him about what all the hell that meant<\/em>, but I\u2013 I can figure<\/em> it means quite a bit<\/em>. That\u2019s a strong statement. We are\u2013 uh, we are committed\u2013 we are committed to Peoples Temple\u2019s existence in our northwest district. I\u2019m quoting several top-notch people, government people, and one of the best lawyers in the country\u2013 uh, there are three different quotes that are in my mind. One of them, as I said, uh, \u201cWe are committed to the existence of Peoples Temple in our northwest district. Peoples Temple\u2019s survival in the northwest district is indispensable to Guyana\u201d. Now that\u2019s indispensable. You can\u2019t\u2013 that means they\u2019re not gonna spend that. They need<\/em>that. They want<\/em> that. Now why<\/em> they want it, I don\u2019t know. There\u2019s a struggle inside any country \u2013 always \u2013 there\u2019s just some CIA elements and there are some right-wing elements. They\u2019re small<\/em> though. Jones<\/strong>: That\u2019s very good, we sure need that clearing. We knew that. [Pause] But your attitude has not proved\u2013 and prove\u2013 You broke our law. You got\u2013 you just can\u2019t let you people just drift in by acting out and getting anything that they want, so there has to be some kind of a compromise situation, before you can get into this relationship you want. Uh, you can\u2019t force us, you can\u2019t [stumbles]\u2013 force us to bend by your own pressures. Uh, otherwise, everybody else in this whole goddamn place gonna act out to try to do it. So, somebody has to show everybody\u2013 [Unintelligible] [stumbles] that they can\u2019t do what you\u2019re now doing to get your way.<\/p>\n

Poncho<\/strong>: Uh, if\u2013 if\u2013 I don\u2019t know whether the Relationship Committee is willing\u2013 was, was suggesting to break\u2013 break our relationship up or not. Uh, I mean\u2013 as far as\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: That\u2019s what your mother [Mary Johnson Rodgers] said, I don\u2019t know what, uh, they\u2019re gonna do. I don\u2019t uh, break up a relationship, but I will break it\u2013 I will\u2013 I\u2019ll keep you apart<\/em>, I know there\u2019s gonna be a period of time where you\u2019ll kept apart, and then if your work\u2013 both of your work\u2019s excellent, then you can get into<\/em> a relationship. Now I want to hear more about what advice, uh, there is and the consent of the people, and yourselves, on the time limit. Understand what I\u2019m saying?<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: I don\u2019t wanna try to break up people who seem to be interested in each other. I do think we need to get that article out, uh, it\u2019s called \u201cAddiction of Love\u201d, which we reinforce each other\u2019s weaknesses. In Psychology Today<\/em>, USA, wrote that [stumbles over words] they carried that article, it\u2019s a very, very sick article, showing that love and sexual interest in each other was based on a sickness worse than drug addiction,[2]<\/a> that we don\u2019t find people that complement our strengths, but we find that we complement each other\u2019s weaknesses\u2013 we reinforce each other\u2019s weaknesses. And we cover<\/em> for each other\u2019s weaknesses. And when you read the article, you\u2019ll become\u2013 the word\u2013 very word love makes you sick. And we need to find that, I, uh, don\u2019t know who\u2019s got the article, it needs to be read by someone, save my<\/em> voice, it gonna be read over<\/em> the PA system, you need to study it, because it\u2019s very horrifying. And you can see why [Vladimir] Lenin just abandoned<\/em> love during the first section, so called. Any kind of one-to-one relationship, he\u2019s\u2013 he\u2019s said to be stopped. We\u2019re in a revolution. And we\u2019re<\/em> in a revolution. And later he\u2013 when he allowed some relationships, he abandoned marriage\u2013 he said it\u2019s terrible<\/em>. Marriage builds a [stumbles] a limited perspective of family relationships, takes you away from the greater family, and I see people who write their letters, that, uh, horrifying<\/em> letters\u2013 they say, well, there\u2019s nobody like their family, nobody<\/em> that understands but the family. What they\u2019re really saying, if you go on and read the letter, it says that nobody will cover for us like each other. We cover for each other very well. And goddamn<\/em>, that\u2019s no place for a revolution. If you want to be sick, don\u2019t get sick in a revolution. We\u2019re in a revolution. They\u2019re attacking the whole government of Guyana, by denying in their\u2013 their<\/em>right to receive cheques. And undoubtedly, as Ron said, it\u2019s directed at us<\/em>. But it\u2019s an attack on the whole government and who knows which step it\u2019ll take next. But you said you always wanted to be able to live and fight for something. In America you couldn\u2019t fight for anything, shit, you gotta fight some mugger on the streets. You had to look out your ass, and [stumbles] watch both aft and stern, stern and aft. All the time, had to get your mind on what was going on, because\u2013 Oh, dear, my dear mother. She used to say that, \u201cstern and aft.\u201d How much we never wake up, till someone\u2019s gone\u2013 They\u2019re gone, you know, they\u2019re gone. There\u2019s nothing so final. But you had to watch yourself coming and going, backwards and forwards. Here you\u2019re in a spot, at least, where you can fight<\/em> for what you believe in. There\u2019s a revolutionary situation<\/em>. Our people are not here<\/em>. They were struggling yesterday, with somebody on the CB unit, trying with the people coming in, trying to discredit somebody that we\u2019d had faith in. Sowing division. We don\u2019t know exactly what it meant\u2013 but they used our codes on the CBs, and if I had alerted the place, we\u2019da had an unnecessary diversion, and then maybe<\/em>, maybe worse. We woulda<\/em> been worse if everybody had been alerted and been on the battlefront when those people came in. We were being set up yesterday, undoubtedly. Weren\u2019t we?<\/p>\n

Crowd<\/strong>: Affirmation<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: \u2018Cause they used, they cried\u2013 [stumbles] that\u2019s all been changed. But tonight, somebody you\u2013 you\u2019ll call for your new numbers, and you\u2019ll say\u2013 then you\u2019ll say base<\/em>. Well shit, there ain\u2019t no time before they work through if they know who you are, or where you are. Now wha\u2013 you got to learn to use the code number, and keep it with that. And if it\u2019s an emergency call, now it\u2019s changed. Don\u2019t ever give that emergency call over the\u2013 over the uh, frequencies. But if I have not followed my better judgement, and not listened to that person gagging, and coughing, and going on like \u201chelp, help, help,\u201d whatever in the hell they were doing\u2013 Huh?<\/p>\n

Jones<\/strong>: Yeah, I\u2019m in the swamp, I\u2019m in the swamp, help me, and a bunch of shit. And if I had alerted the people, we\u2019da had this whole fucking place in readiness, and some people<\/em> drove in. \u2018Cause we had bad radio\u2013 we had radio\u2013 poor radio contact, and radio failure. [Unintelligible]. Bad business. And during the day, I think we\u2019re going to have to\u2013 to tune in all monitoring over to that, uh, that back house, you follow me, uh, that, back, uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Never mind, I don\u2019t want to bring it up here, we wouldn\u2019t be able to deal with it. The two sisters know what I\u2019m talking about. Not the, uh, security. We\u2019ll remind them. So. It\u2019s a revolutionary situation. And you people are out, following your ass. What knows fully\u2013 what next will be, what next will be.<\/p>\n
