The pages that are either illegible, consist of random figures, include so much code as to be unintelligible, or are otherwise without context, have not been transcribed. Dr. Walter Thain is a cystologist (cancer researcher specialist) who helps coordinate contacts &amp; medical consultations among the nearly 1000 doctors belonging to the MARCO medical network of amateur &#8220;ham&#8221; radios. A couple of months ago he picked up from his home in Florida, the radio operators in Jonestown who were seeking specialized medical advice for a complicated cesarean delivery. Dr. Thain promptly contacted a medical specialist who spoke directly to Jonestown &amp; Dr. Larry Schacht, as thousands of amateur radio operators listened in. Later that night the twins \u2013 baby girls \u2013 were successfully delivered. I came to Peoples Temple about 6 years ago to do a documentary for TV on Jim Jones &amp; his movement.<\/p>\n<p>I resigned my job as news bureau chief &amp; joined Peoples Temple because I saw it was the greatest cause for social justice I had ever encountered &amp; it was led by the most principled, compassionate human being \u2013 Jim Jones \u2013 that I&#8217;ve ever met. I know this because I have worked closely with Jim &amp; seen him work all hours of the day &amp; night, often not sleeping for days on end through the most severe physical pain simply because he cares for people.<\/p>\n<p>We left the US because we were not permitted to live by our communist principles. To live as communists in a capitalist society automatically makes you a target for destruction. Because we stood up for every political prisoner &amp; the liberation of black &amp; oppressed people \u2013 we were harassed continuously. Our buildings were burned down, our animals were tortured, our phones were tapped, our people were harassed and threatened every day.<\/p>\n<p>Because we saw the impossibility of changing the basic structure of monopoly capitalism which favors the rich, which is protected by a huge corporate military-industrial complex, we collectively made the decision to leave the US rather than be destroyed by a conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p>We built the most advanced &amp; productive cooperative community in the world here in Guyana \u2013 in my opinion \u2013 but conspiracy against us has been carried from the US to Guyana &amp; has been a continuous disruption to our lives. I&#8217;ve traveled all over the world &amp; I\u2019ve never found a community like this where there is no racism &amp; no human exploitation. But because the conspiracy will not leave us alone to build, to serve, to live in peace, I have decided to commit revolutionary suicide because I can see no other viable alternative. This decision was not made compulsively but only after listening to\/participating in hundreds of hours of discussion.
