REFUTATION OF DEBORAH LAYTON\u2019S AFFIDAVIT:<\/p>\n

  4. untrue. JJ encouraged disagreement \u2013 he always has. Esp. the words \u2019fair game\u2019 \u2013 a word that JJ never used \u2013 but another group does \u2013 Scientology uses that word, re: punishment for defection was death \u2013 not true \u2013 none of that, doesn\u2019t exist at all. No corporal punishment \u2013 none of any kind existed \u2013 even minimal \u2013 for many months.<\/li>\n
  5. re: conspiracy \u2013 that was not the main problem. The identity never changed \u2013 always went back to the fact that we were spied upon when Mayor Blackwell from Mississippi was here. But nothing conclusive never has been anything conslusive. Tho it has been become pretty obvious esp. where TOS was involved \u2013 that there was $ backing it. Then Dennis Banks etc. but really \u2013 very little was said about that. Because there is nothing they particulary feel that can be done about it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    about concentration camps etc. \u2013 it is true that JJ spoke about that possibility happening in U.S. Not true about white members names appearing on a secret list of enemies\u2026 don\u2019t know anything about that at all, no knowledge of that \u2013 but did see evidence of that when Sharon Amos name appeard on FOI etc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    1. It is easy for them to say those things. He always preferenced any discussion of reincarnation etc. esp. re Jesus Christ \u2013 with “if that ever existed.” As far as Lenin goes \u2013people presumed\u2026 they saw what they wanted to see.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      As far as the meetings \u2013 the most JJ would ever talk has been 4 hours at the most and many times he never talked. As far as \u2019divine powers\u2019 \u2013 JJ never related to that word “divine”. And as far as being able to heal \u2013 that is the truth. And re: having extrasensory perception \u2013 yes he does \u2013 but he never put much emphasis on that because it is not that important.<\/p>\n

      JJ never says he had \u2019powerful\u2019 world connections \u2013 never \u2013 in fact \u2013 on the contrary. And re: Idi Amin \u2013 ridiculous. Once mention his political party but never the person himself, re: Mafia, no \u2013 just mentioned that someone had offered to help once. And re: Soviet govt. \u2013 wish it were so that he had influence there.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      1. That is what TOS and she had \u2013 problems between fantasy and reality. Don\u2019t relate to the word ‘irrational’ \u2013 that is TOS. If he ever believed in ‘the ends justifying the means’ \u2013 he doesn’t now because of TOS. In fact, in Russia \u2013 it is very directly dealth with. Anything illegal results in conviction, on criminal charges<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        At various times, J would not sleep for days, but the people around him saw no difference in his perspectives at all. No measurable difference in his outlook. He never focused on conspiracies, if he were the only one, never would have bothered with all the move etc. They use the term ‘irrational\u2019 for convenience, just rationalization.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Long hours \u2013 not so much now as was necessary at first, There is alot of family life, maybe too much. “Proof of loyalty” never called upon, and certainly never to J in the first place. No one is in bad physical condition. Debbie lost weight because she wanted to \u2013 she needed to and she looked forward to doing so. She herself also had plenty of sleep.<\/li>\n
        2. She never worked long hours. The word \u2019fear* never applied\u2026 never acted like it \u2013 always wanted to be more active where JJ was concerned\u2026 stayed close to JJ alot of the time.<\/li>\n
        3. the word ‘fled’ doesn’t apply. In fact, he almost changed his mind in N.Y. \u2013 but a heart condition then, the others urged him to go on, or he would have returned then. Public criticism never bothered J. Being imprisoned never bothered JJ either. Not the thought of it or the possibility \u2013 he was never concerned about that.<\/li>\n
        4. she was never ordered to go to Guyana, just the opposite \u2013 she insisted that she go to take her mother there \u2013 was rather pushy about \/\/ re: \u2019codes\u2019 \u2013 yes<\/li>\n
        5. that situation was pretty plain \u2013 not necessary to get it from \u2018radio codes\u2019.<\/li>\n
        6. Debbie never liked Grace Stoen at all \u2013 just the opposite.Grace was never popular\u2026 no way compare her to generouse and compassionate \u2013 her leaving was no threat to control at all. There may have been a few episodes about her, but never tirades, also \u2013 word ‘bitterness\u2019 does not apply as far as JJ goes. He was always concerned about what would happen to John, and he did say that he would never return HIS SON to her. re: CIA \u2013 that is unfounded.<\/li>\n
        7. “informed” \u2013 ridiculous! That was not the purpose at all of John\u2019s leaving. It was TOS suggestion. He pushed the signing of Parental consent forms etc. It was TOS fully\u2026 recommended by him. The rest of this is also not correct.<\/li>\n
        8. Didnt want to do this \u2013 but C. [Charles] Garry thought it was advisable, re: the 5,000. Teri says she is confused about the 10,000.<\/li>\n
        9. \u2019frenzied\u2019 and ‘hysterical\u2019 \u2013 don’t apply, just asked Reid for ans. \u2013 some kind of assurances. We would have rather gone to Cuba or Russia \u2013 rahter than suicide. Never was aware of any calls to Guy. officials. not ture.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          3. the next day after she got there \u2013 she went to PNC party \u2013 and got drunk at it. \u2013 not applicable \/\/ she saw no armed guards etc. She did what she wanted. We couldn\u2019t get much closer to the Guyanese= there is an impending intermarriage now, so this is ridiculous.<\/li>\n
          4. this never was the arrangement. Sometimes people would work 4 hrs. on Sunday, but never that long as she says. There are maybe only 70 people who work in the fields \u2013 wish we had more \u2013 very needed \u2013 but that just doesn\u2019t apply. \u2013 \u2019vast majority\u2019 = that is ridiculous, never 7 am. to 6 pm. \u2013 we work in 4 different shifts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \u2013 Also the food was taken in boxes with the workers to the fields, the standing in line part is a lie. Sometimes don\u2019t even start till 10 am.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

            2. no distinction between JJ and others, he does have blood sugar problems \u2013 always has, and he does not eat meat regularly \u2013 tho the other people do \u2013 every day. His diet is less varied than the other people because of his health problems. Everyone else eats the same foods. All dine communally. Dr. Schact [Larry Schacht] wanted the small refrigerator for JJ to keep a few things at hand. No distinctions made \u2013 never has been. Carolyn [Layton] and Maria and the two sons live in separate quarters in the same house as JJ. All the children eat the same \u2013 all in very good health.<\/li>\n
            3. never occurred\u2026 the illness does not exist\u2026 she never was sick. There was something \u2013 but it was not extensive \u2013 had nothing to do with \u2022conditions*. She was not ill tho= quite the contrary \u2013 she had good food and the ones who were sick were given extensive medications as needed.<\/li>\n
            4. again \u2013 she was not financial secretary\u2026 the 65,000 is not true, she had no way of knowing anything \u2013 as she was not involved, and the facts speak otherwise, about the \u2019fraction\u2019 of income \u2013 not true \u2013 ridiculous \u2013 much more than that is spent on each person\u2026 to meet all the needs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              JJ never thought he would go down in history \u2013 no reserve at all. The only time she assisted Maria \u2013 JJ wasn\u2019t around at all\u2026 Debbie had total control of her job \u2013 she could have done whatever. Who knows how much $ she stole during that time? She undoubtedly had a complex.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He would grow \u2019despondent\u2019 on occasion \u2013 but not related to his \u2019place’ in history, despondent in reference to whether it would have been better to assisted U.S. because at times, we didn\u2019t know where Guyana was headed\u2026 it always related to his thoughts on the old people and the children \u2013 their future. \u2013 It had nothing to do with going down in history at all. There is very little of it anymore\u2026<\/li>\n
                2. visitors come thru daily \u2013 unannounced. Untrue that performances required\u2026 how would we possibly instruct so many people how to behave. Work not shortened \u2013 never changed when visitors came, musicand dance, food, all the same\u2026 no change. Video etc. daily.<\/li>\n
                3. don\u2019t know how she would know about that at all because she was always isolated from the rest. Not interested in talking about principles etc. \u2013 not true, exception, talk of death \u2013 the need to be prepared. There was no more joy that at a childbirth\u2026 the joy of life is celebrated. The mass suicide talked about on 1 occasion \u2013 in reference to U.S. \u2013 as remote possibility\u2026 the concept was discussed yrs. ago at d.S\u2026 in light of Huey [Newton] etc.\/\/ Also discussed at Jonestown but only travel to Russia or Cuba seen as a solution.the rest is balony<\/li>\n
                4. mercenary threats \u2013 emergencies\u2026 never mention of armed mercenaries to people \u2013 but we were obviously being shot at\u2026 that was real\u2026the thought of leaving was talked about during that time. If accepted by Cuba or Russia, never 50 armed guards \u2013 not half that many and they were for the protection of the people from whoever was shooting at us from the jungle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  “White night\u2019\u201d happened in correlation with shots being fired at JJ, but the origin was never determined\u2026 mercenaries not mentioned. JJ centralized storage of guards etc\u2026 that was essential. No blaring sirens. the liquid \u2013 that is not true. There was roll taken of all people there. No mass meeting \u2013 just waited to see if false alam or what. It\u2019s been months since that time\u2026 can ask the Moores what state of mind people are in since then\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Even Mingo thought that might take place. Burnham was ill, Reid was out of the country\u2026 looked bad. Since that time \u2013 Burnham has made considerable changes in staff\u2026 more stable<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Poison \u2013 that was not the word at all\u2026 was only discussed as a hypothetical as a tranquilizer for the people\u2026 It was all speceulative. Tranquiler only referred to only if USSR and Cuba said no on assistance the whole scenario did not take place that she described. Only speculative, last sentence is ridiculous. (Chronicle stated that she said the staff would do it \u2013 contradicition).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

                    1. Life in Jonestown= glorious, since she was in Georgetown 3 mos. (this also contradicts Chroncile) \u2013 she didn\u2019t want to go to Georgetown because she wanted jj’s attention. Sharon thought she would be helpful there. Now JJ feels badly about it \u2013 he wondered at the time \u2013 but he went along with others suggestions that she go to work at the capital.<\/li>\n
                    2. No \u2013 not true \u2013 Carolyn wouldn\u2019t even know how to use a gun! absolutely not true.<\/li>\n
                    3. she left Jonestown \u2013 no later than March (again contradiciton with what Chronicle said). not true about the spy in state embassy.<\/li>\n
                    4. just engratiation herself\u2026 in fact \u2013 our members speak to member of the embassy one to one \u2013 in private \u2013 so how would we know if they told anything or not\/ not threats of retaliation at all \u2013 ridiculous.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
