Mae Janero<\/strong>: He said that he is collecting as many petitions as he possibly can. That is why he is having this rally in front of the San Francisco Temple because the Prime Minister of Guyana said that if he could come up with a lot of petitions he might be able to do something.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Oh I see, okay. That\u2019s exactly what I needed.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Did you understand that?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Yes, that\u2019s when\u2026 that the prime minister would be able to do something if he came up with a lot of petitions.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: If he came up with a lot of petitions, then he would be able to do something, or confront Tom Jones and get to the bottom of it. This fellow claims that Tom Jones is insane.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Tim Stoen actually said that Jim Jones was insane?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Yes, he actually said that he\u2019s insane and a maniac.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: And what did you tell me he said about who he was like?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: What?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he compare him to Hitler?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Yes, he said that he\u2019s insane and a maniac like Hitler.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: \u2026 a maniac like Hitler<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: and he\u2019s insane<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Wow. Okay, did he\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: he\u2019s insane. He wants to \u2013 let\u2019s see now \u2013 he\u2019s insane and a maniac like Hitler. He wants\u2026 He\u2019s a\u2026 He\u2019s a\u2026 He\u2019s coitizing? to gain a lot of power<\/p>\n\u2014\u2013<\/p>\n
Claire<\/strong>: Okay, did the Prime Minister say that he was working with Tim, or did Tim Stoen say that he was working with the Prime Minister?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Tim Stoen said the Prime Minister requested him to pick up as many petitions as he can and then he\u2019ll work with it, and then he\u2019ll do what must be done.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he say how many people he needed to sign, or any\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: No, he didn\u2019t say that. He told me that he was getting as many as he possibly could and he was going to contact everyone he could think of.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did you say anything to him at all that you can remember that might have given\u2026\u00a0 to Tim Stoen himself\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: No, I asked him who he was, and I said \u201cAren\u2019t you the fellow who was in the newspaper about this child, this 6-year-year old yours?\u201d He said yes, so I said I read all about that. I said that I read that in the paper. I don\u2019t think it sounded too good \u2013 that\u2019s what I said. And I told him that I was familiar with it because I think I have two articles about what\u2019s happening. I had a couple of articles\u2026<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he say that the prime minister\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: And he also said that he took away everybody\u2019s passport and everybody is surrounded by armed guards.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Okay, that\u2019s what I wanted to remember.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Yeah.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he say anything else that was bad or defamatory like that? Anything like that? Any other statements like that that we could certainly prove that they aren\u2019t true?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Well, God, whatever he said was bad enough.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: \u00a0Yeah.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: He said that he was with Jim Jones a long time \u2013 many years, so he knows the man is insane, he knows the man is a para? [likely \u201cparanoid\u201d] maniac and he is trying to get all these people, brainwashing them telling them America are a bunch of fascists and\u2026 Oh, he condemned America very much.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: What did he say about the armed guards and shooting to kill?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: That if anyone is thinking or trying to run away from them, they ought to be shot.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Well, he is something else\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: That nobody could even make an attempt to escape because he would make sure that they would be shot<\/p>\n\u2014\u2013<\/p>\n

I got a lot of it down.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: What are you going to do with it?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: You see, I called because I was upset and I couldn\u2019t tell them exactly.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Who did you talk to?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: I talked to one of the secretaries there.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Well, at Timothy Stoen\u2019s?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: No, at our Temple.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Oh, I see.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: See, and I just want to get this information to them because to see if they are getting other calls. I\u2019m sure that other relatives are being called.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: I\u2019m wondering about that.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Right, so if he is telling the same story or what\u2019s he saying?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Yes, see and I didn\u2019t want him to\u2026 He got in touch with me, and I didn\u2019t want him to get in touch with Judith. I didn\u2019t want to<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Yes, that\u2019s a good idea.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: I\u2019ve got something to tell you.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: What?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Judith is pregnant.<\/p>\n(Left out is the part about Judith and Prop 13)<\/p>\n
Claire<\/strong>: You call me and let me know if you get a call tonight or tomorrow.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: You know, he might call me again, because he wants my petition, but I\u2019m going to tell my family to tell him that I\u2019m not home.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Just tell him you\u2019re not interested and you consider it harassment if he calls you or anybody in your family again. Daytime you could get 391-5020.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he say if that was San Francisco or Los Angeles?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: I think that is where he lives.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: But he \u2013<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: That\u2019s his office.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: But you don\u2019t know if that\u2019s Los Angeles or San Francisco\u2026<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: I\u2019m sure it\u2019s San Francisco\u2026 Because he called me\u2026 Wait a minute 415 is San Francisco.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Yes, 415, right.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: 415. He gave me that. He was on the phone a long time.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: About how long?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: Oh, I\u2019m sure he was on the phone almost a half hour.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Wow.<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: And he is making a lot of phone calls. He is getting in touch with a lot of people and possibly trying to get all these petitions and he\u2019s asking some people to come to San Francisco.<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Did he say anything about money or collecting money for this?<\/p>\nMae<\/strong>: He said\u2026 No, he didn\u2019t say anything about collecting money. He said that he did want to, you know, tell people to go there with the money to pay their children\u2019s fare if Jim Jones doesn\u2019t want to give them the money \u2013 they are willing to collect the money to pay for the children\u2019s fare as long as they get them out. But Jim Jones won\u2019t give them a dime.<\/p>\n\u2014\u2013<\/p>\n
Mae<\/strong>: Did they tell you down at the Temple that they expect a rally there?<\/p>\nClaire<\/strong>: Well, I don\u2019t know what he calls a rally, but if you get a chance ask him when it is.
