There was a time when well over half my working hours were spent thinking of ways to accomplish it. Then \u2013 I had a dream \u2013 in it I was dying \u2013 and I thought \u2013 how selfish. Who will care for Lew [Jones], Jimmie [Jones] and protect them against racism. From that time \u2013 life of children has been a special commitment for me. I too face death \u2013 I too want to die and will do it tonight, if that can prove it can help in any way. I agree with Stephan [Jones] as far as the children. Although \u2013 I do not confine it just to Kimo [Jim Jon Prokes], John [Victor Stoen] and Chae-ok [Jones]. Today on my rounds a little boy asked me to please write Dad a note and ask if they could have open house. After further investigation I learned that the school had planned open house Sunday from 7 to 9 P.M. It was then postponed until Monday since Peoples’ Rally was held. Because of the movie it could not be held again. I don’t know this child’s name but it seemed so important to him that I thought it might be important to other children. Maybe if you could let them know you are sensitive to the problem even if it must wait until next Sunday or indefinitely, it would help.<\/p>\n [Handwriting: \u201cTom Grubbs would like to do it tomorrow evening if possible.\u201d]<\/p>\n I know that every person alive has a saturation point. Some have left at that time. Which is unforgivable. But other of us handle those times in less damaging ways such as withdrawing, crying alone, doing exercise and etc. However, I think that if people could be encouraged rather then discouraged to verbalize their frustrations without feeling they are being judged we might be able to bead off some of this treason and serious acting out.<\/p>\n I saw Tom Grubbs today and he seems extremely pleased with how things are going and I hear you handled it very well. I am proposing, not that you be burdened with handing these situations but that a group of counselors be trained to handle them and that people not feel guilty when they express conflict and frustration. Often, just an explanation as to why a thing must be done will suffice. I know this is no panacea. I just did some thinking today after Johnny Jones said he wished we could identify people who were having problems before severe acting-out occurs.<\/p>\n 3. I talked with Michaeline [Michaeleen Brady] today about where she would like to function after she gets off the Brigade. She said she would like to work as a supervisor of the Brigade. I think that Sounds good. We need someone. She would be with someone always and I think she will understand the Brigade procedures and will be fair. She wants counseling with Pat before they get together. However, I think his idea to make contacts in other communes [illegible] might not be a bad idea.<\/p>\n It seems that Bunny Mann has remarked he might let the press in at some future date to do a documentary (I got this 3rd hand). I would suggest that Rheaviana [Beam] come (She thinks she can finish moving and closing communes and introduce someone else to her contacts for buying by Sept. 15.) to decorate the dwellings to be ready for such an event. She is very creative. Also, she has the keys to open them. They are blue plastic containers and contents are clearly marked on the outside. She says we can make our own for a good long time with that stuff. I\u2019m afraid that it might be ruined or wasted if it\u2019s not handled carefully.
