Transcript MARCIE AND SUZANNE CALL (relevant parts)<\/p>\n

Sept, 5. 1978<\/p>\n

(the beginning of the call was routine—-Suzanne stated that she had had contact with her grandparents and that she was thinking about comming down with the, (Oct. 4) or a little later–she asked MJ to pay her way down if she were to come and then she said that she had some questions.<\/p>\n

Sue: Well I have bee trying to get hold of Leona [Collier] for quite some tmme and she has’t retourned my call and every time I call she is not there and the last time that I asked for some information she never got back to me. Also I need to know why certain things are being planned for Michal [Michael Cartmell].<\/p>\n

MJ: As far as Leona is convered I know that she is spending alot of time at the headquarters \u2013 she has been very very busy \u2013 she also I think that she was sick for a while– more than that I don’t know. As far as Michael I don’t understand your question.<\/p>\n

Sue: Well as far as michael I want to know why certain things are happening to him and why certain things are being planned for him.<\/p>\n

MJ: Honestly suzaane I don’t know anything about this.<\/p>\n

Sue: Well ask dad. Ask him why he has been called a [Illegible word, like “conspirator”]<\/p>\n

\u2013 and ask him about a contract.<\/p>\n

MJ: I don’t know what you are tlaking about. I really don’t suzanne.<\/p>\n

Sue: Becuase If it is true I don’t want to have anything to do with it if it is.<\/p>\n

MJ: Sue could you write it too me hunny becuase I don’t understand.<\/p>\n

Sue: Mom, I can’t put anything in writing.<\/p>\n

MJ: I don’t understand, I will relay your questions to someone else but I certainly don’t know what you are talking about.<\/p>\n

Sue: Well ask Dad about counter—blank—you know the rest of it<\/p>\n

Also about a contract.<\/p>\n

MJ: I understood the last word but I could not pick up the first thing that you said.<\/p>\n

Sue: Ask him about the counter and ask him about the contract. as it realted to Michael.<\/p>\n

MJ: I don;t know anything about it but I will certainly see what I can find out.<\/p>\n

Sue: well it is definately comming from there and I want to know about<\/p>\n

Sue: I am sure that there are alot of things that you are not aware of. The other things is regarding George Hunters [publisher of Ukiah Daily Journal] wife. Mrs. Goergoe Hunter.<\/p>\n

MJ: Yea– ok — look suzanne you go on with your arrangements to come it is really good to talk to you and I would like to clear up these misunderstandings because I think that there are some things that you don’t understand o.<\/p>\n

Sue: well the other thing was about Mrs. George Hunter and I want to know why it happened.<\/p>\n

MJ: It didn’t really happen.<\/p>\n

Sue: ok<\/p>\n

MJ: Ok, bye Hunny, please try to plan to come ok.<\/p>\n
