The Government of Guyana performed nine autopsies after the mass deaths of November 18, 1978. The autopsies were of Congressman Leo Ryan and the four other fatalities at the Port Kaituma airstrip \u2013 NBC reporter Don Harris, NBC soundman Bob Brown, San Francisco Examiner<\/em> photographer Greg Robinson, and Jonestown defector Patty Parks \u2013 as well as of Sharon Amos and her three children, who died in the Temple’s headquarters at 41 Lamaha Gardens in Georgetown.<\/p>\n

Dr. Leslie Mootoo, the Guyana pathologist who also made cursory examinations of a number of the Jonestown dead on site, conducted the procedures. He also signed Leo Ryan’s death certificates in Port Kaituma.<\/p>\n

There were no autopsies performed on any of these people in the United States.<\/p>\n

Leo Ryan\u2019s body was transported from Guyana to the U.S. on November 21 and buried at All Souls Church in South San Francisco on November 22.<\/p>\n

The remaining autopsy reports are located in the FBI’s release of the investigation by the Government of Guyana, located at RYMUR 89-4286-1894. These copies are the best available.<\/p>\n
