The FBI\u2019s investigation into the events of November 18, 1978 focused upon the assassination of Leo Ryan and any actions of members of Peoples Temple which may have shown evidence of a conspiracy related to that assassination. Code-named RYMUR \u2013 short for Ryan Murder \u2013 the investigation yielded 2750 serials totalling more than 10,000 pages, eventually separated into 42 large sections.<\/p>\n
The following chart lists all 42 Sections of the RYMUR investigation. The first column lists each Section in its most complete form. The Section column lists the range of serials within each Section. The third column is of the FBI\u2019s official RYMUR release of 2014.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the Sections in the first column are unique to this site. Each entry was based upon the FBI\u2019s official release of documents in 2014 (from column 3), and was then augmented with additional documents, some released by the State Department in 2016, some released as the litigation of McGehee et al v. Justice<\/i> continues, and some released by the FBI in 2001 but not included in the 2014 release.<\/p>\n
