Harry W. Williams, Sr., who was a minister at St. Mark Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco, and of Rose Mary Williams. She was a member of the San Francisco Police Department for more than 30 years, and was the president of the Officers for Justice in SF.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms. Williams has appeared in several documentaries and granted numerous interviews about her experiences in the Temple, including three interviews in 2024 with <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6989360\/cult-massacre-jonestown-hulu-doc\/\">Time<\/a> magazine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/us\/blog\/beyond-mental-health\/202407\/a-conversation-with-jonestown-survivor-yulanda-williams\">Psychology Today<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/tv-and-radio\/article\/2024\/jun\/18\/cult-massacre-jonestown-review\">The Guardian<\/a>. She also appeared in a panel discussion of Jonestown at the Museum of the African Diaspora in 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yolanda-now.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-137771\" src=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yolanda-now-176x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yolanda-now-176x300.png 176w, https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/yolanda-now.png 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/><\/a>In recent years, Ms. Williams has developed her talents as a singer, and has produced numerous videos.
