Girl 2:<\/b> Okay, I choose to go into the jungle, because um\u2013 t\u2013 go in to the jungle and p\u2013 and p\u2013 and fight there, and if it\u2013\u00a0because we can always\u2013 if we really uh, want our revolutionaries and want to fight for our freedom, we can always start again together.<\/p>\n

Male 1:<\/b> You know, we only have two (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Girl 2:<\/b> Okay, um, and if we go into the jungle and we see where we are going to have to do\u2013 make other plans, we\u2013 uh, be\u2013 before we go, we\u2013\u00a0just like we\u2019re doing now, is um, make plans with the Russian and find out our other stre\u2013 what other ways\u2013\u00a0ways out instead of having one or two ways to do it, try to have more ways out, and, uh, go to Russia if we have to, and\u2013\u00a0and start all over again, \u2018cause we all be together there.<\/p>\n

Female 1:<\/b> You think our group would\u2013 would be able to survive as a group in Russia?<\/p>\n

Girl 2:<\/b> No, we wouldn\u2019t. I don\u2019t think we would\u2013 We would\u2013 we would be able to\u2013 We\u2013 I don\u2019t think we would, no.<\/p>\n

Girl 2:<\/b> Well, if it\u2013 I don\u2019t think it\u2019s wise to go. I think we\u2013 we should stand and fight<\/i>. But if it comes to that, we should, you know, go there and um, if we\u2019re\u2013\u00a0if we\u2019re bothered any further, uh, which we probably would be, uh, to commit\u2013\u00a0we\u2019d just commit revolutionary suicide to keep from being tortured by others.<\/p>\n

Female 1:<\/b> Don\u2019t you think would be (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Male 2:<\/b> I choose going through the jungle with the bull\u2013 uh, bulldozer or without one. I mean, we have a\u2013 we have a real<\/i> good chance to me, going through the jungle. The bush<\/i> is thick, uh, they can\u2019t<\/i> see us from the air, I can believe that. I\u2013 And uh, going to the Soviet, I believe that we\u2019ll\u2013 if we get that far, we\u2019ll be able to have a chance to uh, maybe be socialism there and, and hope for the better.<\/p>\n

Male 3:<\/b> Well, how you\u2013 how you propose uh\u2013 Would you be willing to help take care of the ones that couldn\u2019t (unintelligible under radio) \u2013strong.<\/p>\n

Male 2:<\/b> Sure, sure. I mean, going through the bush, we can be able to uh\u2013 be able to go ahead and\u2013 and just pull<\/i> people, if we have to, going through there, you know, \u2018cause the path\u2013 (Tape problems) that\u2019s a wide uh, type of road<\/i> going through the bush.<\/p>\n

Male 3:<\/b> But\u2013 But you do understand that we\u2019re gonna run out of fuel and we don\u2019t know how far this is going to\u2013 how far this is\u2013 (unintelligible under audio testing) \u2013without bulldozers, that was it.<\/p>\n

Male 2:<\/b> Yeah, that\u2013 I mentioned\u2013<\/p>\n

Male 3:<\/b> With or without bulldozers\u2013<\/p>\n

Male 2:<\/b> Yeah. Okay.<\/p>\n

Male 4:<\/b> I\u2019m for\u2013 I\u2019m for going into the jungle and uh, trying to\u2013 trying to make it to\u2013 to the border and s\u2013 and some should get back and try to take care of some of our enemies. I\u2019m for that. And the reason I\u2019m not for staying here is because uh, they know the location of this place and with high-powered wea\u2013 uh, weapons, they can just zero in and just blow this place up, and in the jungle, we have a better chance because they don\u2019t know where we are.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Please answer the questions, \u2018cause I\u2019m giving some strategy here for the\u2013 with the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> I would have two options. The first option would be to go into the jungle. (Pause) The next option would be to take asylum in another\u2013 another country that was uh\u2013\u00a0had the same feeling that we have.<\/p>\n

Male 4:<\/b> Which would you do? I mean, you might not\u2013 You might only have one option.<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> Only one option would be to go into the jungle. I would take a chance on that.<\/p>\n

Male 5:<\/b> And then what?<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> That\u2019s first and foremost.<\/p>\n

Male 5:<\/b> Okay. How do you\u2013 How do you feel, just like uh\u2013 (tape silence for several seconds)<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> I would be willing to do that, and I would be willing to take orders as they are given, and follow them step by step, and not take anything on my own to do.<\/p>\n

Male 5:<\/b> And not leave anybody behind. You\u2019re willing not to see that no one is left behind.<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> I would be willing to take orders as they were given. Not to leave anyone, if the order was given, to see that uh, senior citizens ma\u2013 I\u2019m a senior citizen myself, but anyway, anyone that was handicapped and couldn\u2019t make it, or children or whatever, was\u2013\u00a0was given to me to do.<\/p>\n

Female 1:<\/b> What if you had to give the order?<\/p>\n

Female 2:<\/b> If I had to give the order, I would be willing to do that.<\/p>\n

Male 5:<\/b> Okay. Okay.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> Uh, I\u2019m for going through the jungle, \u2018cause uh, it\u2019s uh\u2013 they have a\u2013\u00a0we have a better chance, I think, \u2018cause there\u2013 there\u2019s no way of them finding us, and uh, far as revolutionary suicide, I\u2019d rather fight and see their heads blowed off instead of going to sleep.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> I\u2019m all for that.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> Well (short laugh)\u2013 It\u2019s uh\u2013 I think it\u2019s better than sitting here and getting uh, blowed away real quick or going to sleep.<\/p>\n

Male 7:<\/b> What you gone eat?<\/p>\n

Male 5:<\/b> All right, that\u2019s all right.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> I\u2019ll eat leaves, man. I\u2019ll find something.<\/p>\n

Male 8:<\/b> Okay, the plan that I like least<\/i> is uh, uh, re\u2013 revolutionary suicide, but if it came down to it, you know, I could do<\/i> it. The best plan\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Shift. Shift.<\/p>\n

Male 8:<\/b> \u2013I don\u2019t necessarily like the plan of\u2013<\/p>\n

Female 3:<\/b> (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Male 8:<\/b> I don\u2019t necessarily like the plan of making a stand here. Uh, I think we have a better chance of\u2013 if not, even if there wasn\u2019t a country<\/i> that we could get to, I think it\u2019ll be a better stand, of making a stand in the jungle, because you have more protection than what we got right out here in the opening around here, so\u2013 And also I like the idea of being able to necessarily go to uh, uh, one of the countries in Africa to fight, you know. But I would dig making a stand in the jungle, because you have more protection that way, I feel.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> (unintelligible under Male 8)\u2013 but afraid of the Indian racism and (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> I\u2019d rather\u2013\u00a0I\u2019d rather go to the jungle too, because um, it\u2019s true, you can make a stand out there in the jungle, and it is full and it\u2013\u00a0and dark like I said out there in the jungle, and if uh, we went to Russia, sooner or later will be a nuclear war, and Russia would\u2013\u00a0and United States, and uh, we\u2019d be\u2013\u00a0we\u2019d probably be killed there too. So I think we have a better chance of going into the jungle, and try to make it in the jungle.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> What (unintelligible word)\u2013 What\u2019d he say now?<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> I think we have a better of uh, going through the jungle and making it in the jungle.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> A greater chance of what, sir?<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> Of uh, try\u2013\u00a0maybe surviving in the jungle.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Surviving? For what, sir?<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> Uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> (unintelligible word) you people oughta been doing this. I\u2019m not picking on you, I\u2019m just (unintelligible under radio) I just happen to come back out of my strategy. You\u2019re surviving in the jungle, and you said uh, um, we might have a better chance to survive. Uh, survive for what, sir?<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> To carry on the revolution.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> And what kind of revolution would we carry on in the jungle?<\/p>\n

Male 9:<\/b> Revolution of trying to build this country back up, if uh, it is\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> This country? Shit, we\u2019re liable to be in Brazil or Venezuela. There\u2019s 5000 miles of jungle out there, we may have to go any way, we\u2019ll have to keep going, moving, moving, learning from the Indians, trading with them, getting to be friends with them, share what little we can, and uh, stay away from all governments. (Pause) What\u2013\u00a0what country are you gonna build a revolution? You people gotta get down to earth. You got\u2013 Yes, I\u2019m sorry, (stumbles over words) It\u2019s off. It\u2019s off.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/b> (Hubbub)<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> You\u2019ll\u2013 you\u2019ll have to\u2013 you\u2019ll have to decide\u2013<\/p>\n

Male 10:<\/b> (unintelligible word) People want to simplify things too much. You want to simplify, and life\u2019s not simple.<\/p>\n

(Pause)<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Well. Uh, at the uh, conclusion of one day, we\u2013\u00a0we\u2019ll uh\u2013\u00a0Go ahead, go ahead.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> I think the next osion\u2013\u00a0option\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> I\u2019ll take this on tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> \u2013would be, is uh, seek asylum. And Russia in uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> (unintelligible interruption). Medical person, any medical person\u2019ll have to take a look at the place, like I told you, for the si\u2013 signs I told you to. Go ahead.<\/p>\n

Male 6:<\/b> And if we could, uh, if they would like to send us to Africa, we could uh, fight for the liberation of Africa. The peo\u2013 The people that wants to go to Africa, and fight over there.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> (Exasperated sigh)<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> There\u2019ll only be\u2013 all\u2013 all I\u2019ll accept is a crack troop. A crack troop to sho\u2013\u00a0to make a mark in USA, which was our<\/i> homeland, which I never would\u2019ve left, if it hadn\u2019t been for my seniors at\u2013 and my children that I didn\u2019t want to see \u2018em made mincemeat of. So I have no intention of sending nobody\u2013 some to Africa and some here. There\u2019ll only be a crack<\/i> troop at best, if then, that would go back to USA. If<\/i> then. We may have to depend upon the crack troop I\u2019ve got back there. We\u2019ll have to be all<\/i> together. Hmm?<\/p>\n

Girl 3:<\/b> Dad, my option is\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Farene Douglas just had a stroke, you know, back there and I said it\u2019ll be all right, and take care of it, and she\u2019s\u2013 That shows you a certain aspect, but you (unintelligible word) the rest of this. You got to believe in it, for revolutionary purposes, because it is real. But she\u2019s all right now, but she was in terrible, hellish shape, and I said, don\u2019t worry about it, she\u2019ll be all\u2013 o\u2013 okay. But we\u2019ve got to think as if there was nothing but our hands. And a lot of you write in with dreams. Every time we hear dreams. Pipe\u2013\u00a0yes, unfortunately. Yes, continue.<\/p>\n

Girl 3:<\/b> My option is to stay here and fight. \u2018Cause I feel like, if we go through the jungle, we gone lose\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Go through\u2013\u00a0Here we go again. Somebody ought\u2013 somebody ought to stay with us here. Go ahead, go ahead.<\/p>\n

Girl 3:<\/b> We gone lose our people either way we go. Stay here\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> We gone lose what?<\/p>\n

Girl<\/b> 3:<\/b> We gone lose, you know, more people, it seem to me, if we go through jungle. By struggling all the way there, there going to be people can\u2019t take, you know, the pain, the pressure, their medica\u2013 medication they need, they\u2019re not gone have, it\u2019s not guaranteed that, you know, our fuel gone last, so I feel that we should just stay here and just, you know, struggle it out.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> We got\u2013\u00a0we got weapons and\u2013 we got weapons and bows<\/i>, and we can eat cattle\u2013\u00a0we can eat uh, alligator tails and snakes.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/b> (Murmurs assent)<\/p>\n

Girl 3:<\/b> Yeah.<\/p>\n

Male 12:<\/b> O\u2013 O\u2013 O\u2013 O\u2013 okay, if we\u2013 if we make a sta\u2013\u00a0you know, we gone\u2013 we gone lose food, but that\u2019s the first round, (unintelligible under radio)\u2013 we plan to win that one.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Probably two weeks is what\u2013 at the onset, after we win the first war. Maybe<\/i> more. Maybe more.<\/p>\n

Male 12:<\/b> And then\u2013 then\u2013\u00a0After then, we gone make\u2013 have to make every<\/i> preparation to see that nobody is left, when they come (unintelligible under radio). That means that people is going to have to be taken care of.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> He says, that means everybody oughta die. If people have to be taken care of. In the jungle, there\u2019s a chance that some of you youth will survive. I<\/i> may not. We who are senior may not. And if I can\u2019t make it, I will see<\/i> that nobody carries me. (Pause) That\u2019s my feeling about it. That\u2019s<\/i> the kind of revolutionary I am, and I<\/i> think there\u2019s some others here. If I get sick and have a stroke, nobody<\/i> will dare carry me, \u2018cause I will roll off the fuckin\u2019 stretcher, and I will fight and drag and fight, and I won\u2019t breathe, if necessary, I\u2019ll claw my own throat<\/i> open, when I\u2019m no more value.<\/p>\n

Male 13:<\/b> There\u2019s another fight, uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> I hope you understand that, and that\u2019s where you<\/i> ought to be, if you\u2019re a revolutionary.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/b> That\u2019s right. (Scattered comments)<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Oh, come on, folks, cut this out over here, will you, please? Young people, cut this out, they\u2019re sleeping.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> It wasn\u2019t Regina.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Do you have pain? Okay. Okay. What\u2019s this? How many understood what I just said. You wouldn\u2019t drag my ass, if I couldn\u2019t be of use. My mind\u2019s of any value? Okay, I\u2019ll\u2013 I\u2019ll use it. But I\u2019m sure that my\u2013 oth\u2013\u00a0others\u2013 And that\u2019d be a hell of a note. I\u2019d probably have to stay alive a while, even paralyzed<\/i>, \u2018cause some people refuse to put their mind in the position that I put mine in. But if you have a stroke, your mind can be affected too. And if you have a stroke like I was bordering on the other night, you can\u2013 no longer can talk. If you can\u2019t write and<\/i> talk, you\u2019re in trouble. I have to love you to take that chance too, \u2018cause that\u2019s one thing I never wanted. I would do anything, but don\u2019t please\u2013 I said, oh, please, life, don\u2019t let me be paralyzed and unable to talk and of no use to anybody.<\/p>\n

Female 4:<\/b> (unintelligible beginning) us to do anything\u2013\u00a0anything.<\/p>\n

Male 13:<\/b> Now that\u2019s not answering the question.<\/p>\n

Female 4:<\/b> I\u2019m willing to give up my child, too.<\/p>\n

Male 13:<\/b> (unintelligible beginning) Are you willing to kill your child. Answer\u2013<\/p>\n

Female 4:<\/b> Sure.<\/p>\n

Female 1:<\/b> Why would you\u2013 why? Why\u2013\u00a0why do you think it would be important to kill your child?<\/p>\n

Female 4:<\/b> \u2018Cause I wouldn\u2019t want to leave her back here for the uh, fascists to kill her. (Pause) You know, and torture her.<\/p>\n

Male 14:<\/b> Okay, I think uh, revolutionary suicide right here would be the answer. I mean I don\u2019t think going into the jungle is the answer, because there\u2019s too many people here that uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> Are you making that appeal tomorrow? We got our temporary licenses renewed that uh, could particularly protect our doctor in his function, and the pharmacist. Or do we want to make a total demand for total license. I say, that\u2019s death in a disorganized country right now. I<\/i> believe in compromise the way compromise can be. I\u2013 all I care. Uh, you can\u2019t uh\u2013 Sonya, you just said we had to compromise, you said, you were idealist like all of the Soviets were when we\u2013 we fought the revolution<\/i>. Well, I understand the Soviet Union. They\u2019re the vanguard liberators, and they have to compromise, or there\u2019ll be a nuclear war<\/i> to some degree. As long as they don\u2019t compromise Africa, I\u2019ll go along with that. We\u2019re up here, though, by God, nobody gonna fight a nuclear war in my opinion over us. So we\u2019ve got a different kind of\u2013\u00a0we got a different kind of variables. We can be purist to some degree like the Soviets were in the days of the revolution and in the days of World War II when they fought with pitchforks. And I intend to do that as much as possible<\/i>. However, uh\u2013 I don\u2019t see the point of making a big issue. The doctors are rising up, which a number of them are capitalist, and that\u2019s why we\u2019re not getting a license on our doctor. They\u2019re rising up, the medical profession, uh, because it\u2019s the first time it ever happened. I think they meant to keep their word, but they\u2019re af\u2013 afraid<\/i> to keep their word now. Because of the so\u2013\u00a0the number of capitalist doctors say it\u2019s never been done before<\/i>, why wasn\u2019t it done for us? Doctors are the last<\/i> to go socialist, you know. And unfortunately, this country did not make all doctors immediately go socialist. So\u2013 Cuba didn\u2019t either, but that\u2019s dangerous when you make\u2013\u00a0Now all doctors in\u2013 in socialist Cuba are on government sti\u2013 uh, sti\u2013 uh, stipend, on a, on a set wage. But not me\u2013 not initially. And so you got a lot of capitalist doctor hangovers here. But you got so much fermentation. We\u2013 I don\u2019t know whether we want to make an issue saying giving him a pure license or we\u2019re gonna have a White Night, we\u2019re going to have a death uh, stand. I say tomorrow that\u2019s my opinion, and I\u2019m having to make a lot of decisions up here. I don\u2019t like to make them, because you are the people, you ought to make them. My opinion is, we make a demand for an extended license, a license that can be extended, a temporary license that oughta last for at least six months. Shit, by the end of six months, this\u2013 the goddamn nuclear war<\/i> may come and the bombs drop, and there won\u2019t be no more USA, then we won\u2019t have no more trouble up here, \u2018cause we\u2019ll be able to fight\u2013 we will be the strongest force alive<\/i>. We\u2019re the seventh<\/i> most uh\u2013\u00a0We\u2019re the seventh largest population center in the entire nation of Guyana. There\u2019s our Guy\u2013 our country over there. Guyana. We\u2019re the seventh largest. In a nuclear war, we can take over<\/i> the whole country, because not only are we the seventh largest, we are ten<\/i> times more organized to be safe. Ten times more organized than anything else. And I don\u2019t think I\u2019m being Pollyannaish or dreaming it all\u2013 (Cries out) Stay awake, for Christ sake. (Pause) You passive people. Have you always had somebody to think for you?<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/b> (Murmurs)<\/p>\n

Roller:<\/b> Yeah, the fascists did.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/b> M\u2013 yeah, that\u2019s true, professor, you answered my own question. The fascists did, and we always let them think, and we\u2019re carrying the same kind of dumb robot shit over into communism. Communism\u2019s supposed to emancipate you and make you a participant, and you\u2019re resting<\/i> on your laurels and letting a communist now lead you where you used to let the goddamn fascist commercial and all that shit run you through TV. (Pause) That\u2019s what some of you do. You don\u2019t get involved<\/i>. And it\u2019s fuckin\u2019 dangerous<\/i>. Go ahead.<\/p>\n

Male 15:<\/b> Uh, I think uh, that\u2013 I think revolutionary suicide right here would be the answer. I don\u2019t think going into the jungle is the answer, because too many people uh, I don\u2019t think would\u2013 would make<\/i> it, so I think if, you know, the few people, you know, who would\u2013 would have to be put to sleep, I think we all\u2013 I think I\u2013 (unintelligible word under radio) we all should go together. And I don\u2019t think that\u2019s the (unintelligible word)\u2013 and another thing, if uh, if we do revolutionary suicide right here, our faithful members that\u2019re in the States wou\u2013 I\u2019m sure<\/i> would take care of our enemies.<\/p>\n

Male 15:<\/b> I think\u2013 I think we should let\u2013 make our demands be known, that if we\u2013 and uh\u2013 I\u2013 I\u2013 I<\/i> would think we should, you know, try to stall for time and see if we could, you know, see if we could have some uh, agreement can be made. If\u2013 if not, uh, then I\u2013 I don\u2019t think we should back off, but you know, just take our stand right here.<\/p>\n

I mean the pump part, not the motor. So I had to go down there and check it. But uh, as far as the ro\u2013 as far as the rotation is concerned, you know, we just switching one wire versus another, really, all it does is change the rotation, but it doesn\u2019t affect anything else. The low voltage\u2013\u00a0the low voltage does<\/i> affect it. I\u2019m afraid that the\u2013\u00a0the low voltage must have caused the problem. That\u2019s the only thing I can figure out, as far as why the, the pump\u2013<\/p>\n
