Guyanese official:<\/b> What\u2019s going on? Morning. How you doing today?<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Fine, fine. Listen. I went up as you instructed me to\u2013<\/p>\n

Guyanese official:<\/b> Yeah. Doc Holt (unintelligible word.)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>And Doc Holt said that there was nothing he could do, because he only registered from this<\/i> side, and for (unintelligible under microphone movement) take this death certificate and give it to Norman Adams. And Norman is in uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Georgetown.<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Georgetown. He said just register the death with Norman Adams, \u2018cause he\u2019s the registrar on that side. So what we\u2019ll do, I have the\u2013 I still have the copy that you signed.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Um-hmm [Yes].<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>So I\u2019ll just\u2013 You could keep this copy, and I\u2019ll take this other one to Nor\u2013 when Norman gets in, we\u2019ll just (Pause) (unintelligible word). All we\u2019re doing is what\u2013<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> For uh\u2013 mail it to him?<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Yeah, I just now talked to him. (Pause) So we\u2019ll just go ahead and\u2013 and\u2013 and bury her, and then when Norman comes, we\u2019ll just (voice trails off). And he said there was nothing he could do. And I also talked to the nurses there also.<\/p>\n

(Long pause)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Um. Don\u2019t forget it. (unintelligible sentence)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Hmm?<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> (unintelligible, sounds like \u201cI learned a lot of [unintelligible word.]\u201d)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Hmm. That phone is out of their range.<\/p>\n

Man 3:<\/b> Can\u2019t hear you. Should we try again.<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Yeah, uh\u2013 and the one thing (unintelligible sentence)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> I\u2019d like to avoid (unintelligible word.) Somebody must be doing it first.<\/p>\n

Man 1:<\/b> And um\u2013 Herbie.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Or (unintelligible name)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Herbie Thomas.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Yeah. Well, let\u2019s all go through that.<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Okay.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> And uh\u2013 (Pause)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>I talked to the minister already too. I\u2013 I saw him, I was going up to the uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> When\u2019s the date\u2013 when\u2013 when (unintelligible) died?<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>She died on the ninth. That was\u2013 That was yesterday, that was Friday. Friday morning.<\/p>\n

(Pause)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> The eighth was\u2013 (unintelligible word) the day she died?<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Well, it was between the eighth and the ninth. She went to bed on the\u2013 on the eighth, and she didn\u2019t wake up on the ninth. (Pause) (unintelligible word) the ninth.<\/p>\n

(Microphone moved)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> (unintelligible) Over. (Pause) (repeats, unintelligible) Over. (Pause) (repeats, unintelligible) Over. (Pause)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>I\u2019ll tell (unintelligible name) you said hi.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Oh yes, and um\u2013 did he not issue\u2013 uh, did he (unintelligible word) um, give you the regular form for legal deaths (unintelligible word.)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>No. No, he said I had to get that from uh\u2013<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Oh, Adams.<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>From Adams. So I guess everything\u2019ll be all right. Thank you very much.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Now uh\u2013 are you\u2013 the doctor here is (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>He\u2019s going in Monday, uh, and he talked to uh, Dr. Birk, or uh, uh\u2013 Byrd, Dr. Byrd. So he\u2019ll be going into Georgetown Monday to finish his (unintelligible)<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Monday.<\/p>\n

Jonestown Man: <\/b>Yeah.<\/p>\n

Official:<\/b> Okay. (unintelligible) see what that is.<\/p>\n
