Jones:<\/strong> \u2013be it one form or another, picked up a fucking telephone, you (cries out) pay taxes. Every time you put a (cries out) dime in that pay telephone, so much of that money went out to the CIA to murder our black babies across the goddamn world.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/strong> Scattered applause<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> (Intense) Every time you bought an ice cream cone, every time you bought a McDonald\u2019s sandwich, they took out so much for tax, for napalm to drop on our babies. (Voice drops) You think about that, and after a while, you won\u2019t miss McDonald\u2019s. I\u2019ll tell you, it\u2019ll be only a passing<\/em> fancy. It\u2019ll slide<\/em> over your head, just like rain and water off a duck\u2019s back. You can\u2019t keep these little momentary things, but when you really<\/em> think<\/em>, and quit putting yourself up above as a\u2013 a plus, and you get down to that zero consciousness, when you really<\/em> crucify your old self, and lay down everything but the revolution of socialism, then whenever you think<\/em> of what you think you ought to have, you will think about the daddy who never had anything, goddamnit, and had to fight all through the wilds of Zimbabwe, Rhodesia, and get his family from place to place, terror in the night, and then<\/em> have U.S. Army officers stand over him, torture him, beat him, and beat his daughter and make her do that terrible act, and then leave her to face it. God damn such a system as that. And god damn such a bunch of people, white or black. It was right on the front page of the Chronicle<\/em>. If you don\u2019t believe it, we\u2019ll drag it out of our files. Don\u2019t talk to me when they don\u2019t read it. (In full throat) Your people can<\/em> read it if they want to. It was all over TV. It\u2019s like a circus. They didn\u2019t put it there because they were interested in justice. People like to read about dead<\/em>. They like to read about sensation<\/em>. There was a sexual sublimation<\/em> in seeing that man, a black man, have his balls cut off. They aren\u2019t interested in justice, and the people don\u2019t give a damn. I don\u2019t give a fuck about Americans that don\u2019t give a goddamn. I don\u2019t give a fuck about them.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/strong> Applause<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> They know the way. (Voice drops somewhat) They know the way through the wilderness. They\u2019ve hunted all through the goddamn land. I went from city to city and preached (unintelligible word) when I thought I couldn\u2019t hold my head up. So fuck<\/em> \u2018em all. They know where to find us. (Pause) (Moderate tone) If they want to die there, and sell out, that\u2019s their business, but I\u2019d rather die young. If it meant<\/em> death, which we now have a great prospect of life, but I tell you, I would not trade places with them, not for a second.<\/p>\n

Crowd:<\/strong> Murmurs.<\/p>\n

Jones:<\/strong> And it\u2019s ought to be easy for me to talk, because I had an offer of seven and a half million dollars, babies, to sell you all down the goddamn river. And you never in your born days are going to get seven and a half thousand, probably, much less seven and a half million. So if I<\/em> can say it\u2019s all empty, it\u2019s not worth betraying people, you<\/em> ought to find it easy, I think. Now, sister, you got someone here that\u2019s talking about leaving?<\/p>\n
