\nIn this short tape from an undated faith-healing service, Jim Jones cures several people of cancer, heart disease and other illnesses, and protects other from impending tragedy. Jones prefaces each miracle with a detailed revelation about the person\u2019s private life, then describes the illness about to be healed. The revelations often surprise the recipient and sometimes even Jones himself. \u201cYou ever use Kern\u2019s Peach Nectar,\u201d he asks one woman, then repeats to himself, \u201cKern\u2019s Peach Nectar. I don\u2019t even know some of this stuff that I hear through my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Each protection is met with tearful gratitude from the recipient, and cheers and singing from the enthusiastic congregation in attendance.<\/p>\n

In connection with the Federal Bureau of Investigation\u2019s investigation into the assassination of U.S. Congressman LEO J. RYAN at Port Kaituma, Guyana, South America, on November 18, 1978, a tape recording was obtained. This tape recording was located in Jonestown, Guyana, South America, and was turned over to U.S. Officials in Guyana and subsequently transported to the United States.<\/p>\n

On June 14, 1979, Special Agent (name deleted) reviewed the tape numbered 1B107-25. This tape was found to contain the following:<\/p>\n
