{"id":29385,"date":"2013-07-25T17:01:54","date_gmt":"2013-07-25T17:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alternativejonestown.com\/?page_id=29385"},"modified":"2013-12-09T20:24:21","modified_gmt":"2013-12-09T20:24:21","slug":"lettervilchez","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=29385","title":{"rendered":"Letter from Jordan Vilchez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=MsoNormal2>Dear Mr. Haulman;<\/p>\n<p>As one who lost my only two sisters, a brother-in-law, two nephews and scores of friends, I was surprised to hear that there would be someone who would be bothered by the long awaited stones with the names of all who died thirty two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>When I first heard about the Jonestown Memorial Fund project, it was a glimmer of hope for me that this would finally actually happen, since a previous effort seemed to had fallen by the wayside.<br \/>   &nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>   I have been so impressed and filled with gratitude about the manner in which the Jonestown Memorial Committee worked to organize the project,from&nbsp; working with cemetery staff, as well as families of those who died.&nbsp; Their professionalism, care, and competence in seeing this project through from start to finish has been outstanding.<\/p>\n<p>I am so glad that my mother who is 91 will see the names of her daughters and grandchildren placed so beautifully and tastefully on Evergreen Cemetery&#8217;s lovely hillside.&nbsp; For my father who has passed away, it was an unfulfilled dream.<\/p>\n<p> Finally, I wish to thank you for the integrity with which you have handled this unusual and complex situation over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Vilchez <\/p>\n<p class=MsoNormal1>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Mr. Haulman; As one who lost my only two sisters, a brother-in-law, two nephews and scores of friends, I was surprised to hear that there would be someone who would be bothered by the long awaited stones with the names of all who died thirty two years ago.
