Cordell<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacy.com\/ns\/obitfinder\/ssdi-search.aspx?daterange=2010-2013&#038;firstname=June&#038;lastname=Cordell&#038;countryid=1&#038;stateid=0&#038;affiliateid=-1\">died<\/a> in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 26, 2010 at age 82 following a stroke earlier that month. She is survived by her husband Gene. More than a dozen of their relatives died in Jonestown. Their writings appear <a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=17027\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal5\">We learned recently that <b>Joe Phillips<\/b>, a prominent member of Peoples Temple during its Redwood Valley years, died in 2000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal5\">We also learned recently that <b>Laurence Stern<\/b>, an editor for <em>The Washington Post<\/em> who co-authored <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/guyanamassacre.pdf\"><i>Guyana Massacre<\/i><\/a> with Charles Krause in 1978, died in 1979.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal5\">A full list of people who have died since November 18 appears <a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=37995\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June M.
