Of that number, 907 died of cyanide poisoning.\u00a0 All of them were in Jonestown. Two other people in Jonestown \u2013 Annie Moore and <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=35415\">Jim Jones<\/a> \u2013 died of gunshot wounds, bringing Jonestown&#8217;s death toll to 909.<\/p>\n<p>Five people &#8211; including Rep. Leo Ryan, NBC correspondent Don Harris, NBC cameraman Bob Brown, San Francisco Examiner photographer Greg Robinson, and Temple defector Patty Parks &#8211; were shot to death at the Port Kaituma airstrip.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=107294\">four others died<\/a> in the Temple\u2019s Georgetown headquarters at Lamaha Gardens, when Temple member Sharon Amos slashed the throats of her two young children \u2013 Christa and Martin Amos \u2013 and then she and her older daughter Liane Harris simultaneously slashed each other\u2019s throats.<\/p>\n<p>The death toll included 304 children and minors under 18.<\/p>\n<p>The list of people who died appears <a href=\"https:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?post_type=who_died\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There were 918 people who died in Guyana on November 18.
