All Journals<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of each month’s journal is a summary of names, places, groups, activities <\/span>mentioned in that month<\/span>. These were then used to make an index of all the journals. Use the index to find the month and then you can search within that month’s text for the reference(s) made.<\/p>\n

1.<\/span> Index to ALL Journals (1975-78)<\/a><\/span><\/b> (pdf file<\/span>):<\/p>\n

Use the index to find the name, place, group, activity, etc. This will tell you what month(s) mention was made. Go to that month’s journal and use search to find reference(s).<\/span><\/p>\n

1978 Journals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Information was taken from Edith Roller\u2019s journal entries and entered into a data base. The following information fields were filled \u2013 where data was available \u2013 into a record for each day\u2019s entry:<\/span><\/p>\n

Date, day, get up time, asleep time, sleep late hours, no. of meals, crisis, guests, breakfast menu, dinner menu, treat, Rally (y\/n), agricultural report (y\/n), entertainment (y\/n), confrontation (y\/n), persons mentioned, persons confronted, topics in entry.<\/em><\/p>\n

The .pdf files below were developed from this data base.<\/p>\n

2.<\/span> Index to names in 1978\u00a0Journal<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/b> (pdf file<\/span>):<\/p>\n

Names\u00a0found in the 1978 Roller journal have been assembled into an index of names (last
\nname<\/span> or first name<\/span> depending on what was in the entry that Edith\u00a0made). <\/span><\/p>\n

To use the Index: <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Open the\u00a0pdf and use it visually <\/i>as you would any alphabetical
\nindex, looking through the pages. Find what you want and write down the Journal\u00a0entry date you wish to look up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0color of the entry tells you if the person is:
\n<\/span>mentioned (black),\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 confronted (red), \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>or\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>praised (blue).<\/p>\n

\nhe was mentioned<\/span> in the Wed-Aug 16<\/span> entry. He was mentioned once
\nin a movie discussion!<\/span><\/p>\n
