(clears throat) All over.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> You\u2019da been healed of diabetes, oughta uh, make a note, (clears throat) and a special s\u2013 thing that could\u2013 you could do for the cause. (Pause) Those that\u2019ve been healed of some kind of crippling disease, arthritis or some other crippling disease, necks broke, backs broke, here I see on the front row three that had broken bones, neck broke, back broke, arm broke, crippling diseases. Have many had had someone healed of sickle cell anemia? (Pause) That\u2019s rare disease, that\u2019s why I ask. I see uh, about 15 hands that I can see (clears throat) (Pause) Hmm. How many been <em>told <\/em>a warning about an accident and you\u2019ve been spared by warning?<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Scattered voices<\/p>\n<p><b>Male in Congregation:<\/b> Over and over.<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> S\u2019 all right. And I say over and over again, yes, our brother said back here, our pilot for that plane we want to get us to heaven. <em>We <\/em>going to heaven by an airplane, a jet.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Say you gonna bud wings and fly. Shee-it.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter and applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (Laughs) I was a child, I guess there was a lot of things meant for me to happen, I was a little child, poor, no one would heal me, no one would help me, I was starvin\u2019 to death. (clears throat) Had to go out and help dig up graves. And I had a whole bunch of \u2018em come over there and they wanted to dig up this grave, they said they wanted it close together, so when Jesus come, they wanted \u2018em all together. They said they wanted Momma and Daddy, and they wanted \u2018em all to be in the same place when Jesus come. I knew damn well then, I was just a knee\u2013 just knee-high to a grasshopper, just a little shaver, and I knew where they was digging for some jewels. And\u2013 But one old lady, she didn\u2019t know what she doing, she said, oh, it\u2019ll be wonderful when Jesus comes, and they\u2019re digging down there, and liftin\u2019 that\u2013 (clears throat) that body up, you know, said they\u2019re gonna come up out of the grave. They\u2019d lifted this thing up and hoisted it up. The damn thing fell right there, broke. And there was a bone and hair, old yellow hair, rotted and rusty hair, clear down\u2013 The hair grows even afterwards. Old fingernails. I remember those old cake-y things. And the bones fell here and the bones fell there. And part of the par\u2013 part of the lower parts had been gone, and the gravedigger said, them damn gophers, they\u2019re always carrying away the bones. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (clears throat) And I looked up at that old lady, and I said, well, how\u2019s Jesus gonna get all them folk\u2013 all that bones together. She says, you don\u2019t ask no questions like that. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> I said, you mean to tell me, Jesus is gonna put skin on them bones and gonna put hair\u2013 good hair on that bones. He gonna put new body in that\u2013 in that mess? She said, yessir, the Bible tells me so. Bible said they\u2019re gonna come up out of the grave, and they\u2019re gonna have <em>new <\/em>flesh. And it\u2019s gonna be nice, if you can find \u2018em. But I was in that graveyard, and I had to make a livin\u2019, and there was only way I could get any help, \u2018cause we were starvin\u2019, and I dug up grave after grave, and I\u2019m telling you, honey, they\u2019re going to have to work hard to find some of their ass bones, \u2018cause the gophers got \u2018em ten miles down the road. (clears throat) <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter and applause, dies to stirring<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> You say I\u2013 (pause) Now\u2013 You say, well, what are you gonna save us from? Save you from <em>this<\/em> mess. (Pause) And I won\u2019t preach this long. There\u2019ll be a time coming before <em>very long<\/em>, that there won\u2019t be much of this kind of preaching. So you that <em>get<\/em> it will be grateful one day. \u2018Cause it\u2019ll be <em>changed<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Stirs<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Then I\u2019ll speak only in parables. Only in allegories, only in comparisons. (Pause) I\u2019m trying to keep you <em>alive<\/em>. I\u2019m trying to cause you to raise your energy field, to raise your vibrations by love, so that your mind can be lifted to another planet. It\u2019s the only way it can be lifted, \u2018cause your bones ain\u2019t gonna get together. You\u2019re not gonna get granddaddy\u2019s bones together, \u2018cause the gophers and all those varmints and the weasels and the\u2013 even other animals and the\u2013 all the earthworms, they\u2019ve got the bones so tore up that you couldn\u2019t get \u2018em together. (clears throat) (Pause) Said Jesus can do everything. Yeah, I know, I been hearing \u2018bout that for a long while. But he can\u2019t feed any\u2013 one hungry child. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">I been hearing about what your God\u2019s gone do, he\u2019s gonna come down in the twinkling of an eye, and the dead in Christ are gonna rise and gonna jump up through the grave (1 Corinthians 15:51-53, \u201cBehold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.\u201d)<\/span>, but I haven\u2019t seen nothing done about our ghettoes in Chicago or St. Louis or Los Angeles or San Francisco. I ain\u2019t seen a thing done. (clears throat) <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Ain\u2019t nobody gonna lift up\u2013 (Pause) They\u2019re not gonna <em>come <\/em>that way. I\u2019ve got a theory that\u2019s been proven by a phenomenon. Ask him. He knows about it. I\u2019m not going into it tonight. Been <em>proven<\/em> that we have a dimension that we can reach to another planet. We can reach out of this earthbound state. But you won\u2019t do it unless you become loving and caring, like I am. That\u2019s the only way out. The only way out. And you\u2019re not gone do it by bones, it\u2019s gonna be mind. <em>Mind <\/em>is the only thing they can weigh, the energy field around the mind. When you die, you weigh one-fourth of a pound more than you do after you die. <em>But<\/em> (clears throat) I wouldn\u2019t count on <em>anything<\/em> I don\u2019t see. That\u2019s why I\u2019m trying to get you to <em>eat right<\/em>, trying to get you to get your <em>flu shots<\/em>. (Pause) I remember her, she said, uh, what did you say about the grave? You sayin\u2019, when I brought you back from the dead and bro\u2013 took that cast off of you. What was that song you sang, \u2018bout not wanting to die? <\/p>\n<p><b>Voice in Congregation:<\/b> too soft<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> No, no, Sister Nabors, there\u2019s some uh, little tune to it. (clears throat) <\/p>\n<p><b>Nabors:<\/b> (unintelligible)<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Feel like staying the\u2013<\/p>\n<p><b>Nabors:<\/b> Do I have to (unintelligible)<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Yeah. Feel like staying here.<\/p>\n<p><b>Nabors:<\/b> (Sings) I feel like staying there, and I feel like staying here.\/ I been (unintelligible), and I feel like staying there.\/ Well, I ain\u2019t going up or down<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Shh! Listen! (Speaks) That\u2019s what she said. True. (Pause) Now don\u2019t you know, with my healing ministry, if I\u2019d shut up, I could bring tens and tens of thousands here. (clears throat) I\u2019d have a golden Cadillac. That\u2019s what you oughta know, those preachers don\u2019t believe what they preach. Why is it they gotta have all these jewels and anniversaries? Why do they have to have the Cadillacs and the Rolls Royce. If they\u2019re going to <em>heaven<\/em>, why do they have to <em>have<\/em> all that? (clears throat) \u2018Cause they don\u2019t <em>believe<\/em> in no heaven, that\u2019s why. (Pause) They don\u2019t believe it. (Pause) Now folks, <em>we\u2019ve<\/em> got to build our hope <em>here<\/em>. (Pause) Our hope here. Shift\u2013 shift yourself. (tape edit) (Pause) (clears throat) <em>Now\u2019s <\/em>the time when anybody can agree with what I have to do. Now\u2019s the time they can do <em>anything <\/em>that I\u2013 (Pause) Nobody can dig\u2013 disagree with what I do when I <em>heal<\/em>, because <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">they said all <em>good <\/em>things come from God. Nobody has to tell me that. \u2018Cause I know all good things are <em>good<\/em>, that\u2019s why I believe in them, just good is good. And I\u2019m good (James 1:17, \u201cEvery good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.\u201d). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Delayed applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (clears throat) I wish everybody was as good as I am.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Stirs. Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (clears throat) There ought to be witnesses at the door. Bad uh, bad aneurism going out there. The woman\u2019s gonna have a stroke. (Pause) There ought to be witnesses. People ought to know what they\u2019re walking out on. (Pause) Fisher. Hands clasped. (clears throat) (Pause) Now folks, I uh, preach, proving my honesty with the <em>lowest <\/em>offering\u2019s ever been taken on Sunday morning. You may relax your\u2013 (tape edit)<\/p>\n<p>(Short unknown sound)<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Said somebody come back and <em>told <\/em>you. No, no, I\u2019ve raised all kinda people here, and all they said they heard was my voice, calling them. Even they were out in the funnel, way out in the dark. Nobody saw any angels. How many people have I raised from the dead, in this room. (Pause) Stand up. Any of you see any angels?<\/p>\n<p><b> Scattered:<\/b>  No.<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Any of you see any pearly white city?<\/p>\n<p><b> Scattered: <\/b> No.<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Ain\u2019t seen nothing, no. He didn\u2019t see nothing. He was the one that was shot a few days ago, uh, three times. Told him to stay in for 14 days, he stayed in for 13. Nobody heard any angels sing, (sings) \u201cCome on home\u201d?<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> None of you saw grandma?<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Laughter and stirring<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Saint Peter? Say, I saw s\u2013 Grandma when I got low. You saw her because you loved her, that\u2019s why you saw her. You don\u2019t want to count on something you haven\u2019t seen. But I can make this world a place for you that you\u2019ll be happy in, if you\u2019ll just work with me. But we sure ain\u2019t working at it now. We\u2019re not working at it like we ought to. (clears throat) It touched me deeply to see a woman out here in <em>her <\/em>years, selling peanut brittle. Right out here in the alley. By God, she had \u2018em blocked. The cars come by, buy my peanut brittle.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Scattered laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> That\u2019s smart woman. That\u2019s what we\u2019re gonna have to do. (clears throat) Young man came up to me, that I saved him from the dead, raised from the dead, and I loved that young\u2013 Where\u2019s Ron? (Pause) He was shot, and I saved him. Where\u2019s Ron? Where\u2019s Ron at? Did he come this\u2013 He was in San Francisco when he said this. Did Ron come?<\/p>\n<p><b>Voice in Congregation:<\/b> too soft<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> What? <\/p>\n<p><b>Voice in Congregation:<\/b> too soft<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> He\u2019s a <em>handsome<\/em> young black boy, he used to be a d\u2013 dope pusher. And he was handsome enough, he could get things done. He came up to me so sweetly, and he said uh\u2013 What is the word you used? I\u2019d\u2013 I\u2013 I\u2019ll never forget it. He said, Father, people don\u2019t care. (Pause) They don\u2019t care, but he said, uh\u2013 what do you\u2013 what do you call a man that sells his body? Gigolo, but that isn\u2019t it. <\/p>\n<p><b>Voice in Congregation:<\/b> too soft<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> No. (clears throat) Pimp. No, those are mean, they use women. They\u2019re like God, they s\u2013 God sent his only son, the pimp sends his women.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Scattered laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> That\u2019s right, I don\u2019t like pimps. That right, pimp. I don\u2019t like your ass. You\u2019re lazy.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> I\u2019d have to get God\u2013 I\u2019d be God, I\u2019ve got people threatening to kill me every day. That\u2019s what one of the notes was, someone out there, uh, they\u2019d been threaten to kill me once. Well, he better\u2013 he better not try it today, \u2018cause I\u2019ll whip his ass all over the aisle. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (clears throat) I won\u2019t <em>need <\/em>any guards today. I\u2019m in one of the cycles of perfection, I won\u2019t need any guard. You want to fi\u2013 have a damn fight? You just start with your knife and your gun, and you just see who come out on top tonight.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> I mean, don\u2019t mess with me, because for an hour and a half, I\u2019ve had to pee, and when I have to pee for an hour and a half, I\u2019m mean. (Laughs)<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> (calls out) Aren\u2019t you glad? Aren\u2019t you glad?<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Cheers and applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> Somebody lost? (aside) Go help them people. Go help them people. Go help them. Go help \u2018em. (back to microphone) Testify to them, they\u2019re gonna walk out on <em>life <\/em>here. (Pause) Peace. (Pause) Some folk tryin\u2019 to get all their people gathered, \u2018cause they don\u2019t want \u2018em to get any more truth. (Pause) It\u2019s too bad. If your people got what I\u2019m tellin\u2019, you won\u2019t be able to <em>use<\/em> them anymore. One preacher said, I wouldn\u2019t come <em>over <\/em>there to Jones\u2019. I want to get healed, but I\u2013 he\u2013 he\u2013 a Good Shepherd Baptist, he said, I wouldn\u2019t \u2013 yeah, I\u2019ll tell on him \u2013 he said I wouldn\u2019t come over here with my people. He said, I want to get healed, but I don\u2019t want those people to hear what you got to say, \u2018cause I won\u2019t get an offering <em>again<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Stirs<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> He wouldn\u2019t. When you come around me, you\u2019re finished.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Delayed applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> The fact is, that I\u2019m as gentle as a lamb. Never hurt anybody. Don\u2019t even hurt the little animals. Never killed anything in my life. But I want to say this, that uh, (Pause) this young man said, he wasn\u2019t a pimp, \u2018cause I don\u2019t like the way pimps do women. He said, cruise. He\u2019s a <em>nice <\/em>boy, <em>clean<\/em> boy, he said, <em>Father<\/em>, they won\u2019t <em>save<\/em> us, <a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/?page_id=60990\">they\u2019re going to come and take the black people, they\u2019re gonna put us in concentration camps<\/a>. He said, let me cruise. He said, I\u2019ll turn all the money over to you. (Pause) I said, I wouldn\u2019t have it for anything in the world. And I thought, isn\u2019t that something. A young boy, willing to cruise. (Pause) Another woman came to me, coupla weeks ago, very beautiful woman, she said (clears throat) I was used by a preacher. I was a pimp before I knew you. I was a p\u2013 prostitute used by a pimp before I knew you. She said, a preacher had a whole group of us. And she said, I did it for him. She said, please let me do it for this cause. I said, Oh no, oh no. I come to <em>save <\/em>you from<em> that<\/em> mess. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Stirs<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> I came to save you from having to sell your body. (clears throat) <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> But it\u2019s something to consider, that people love that much. Ron said to me with such determination, he meant that, he wasn\u2019t trying to be silly, he said, I <em>know <\/em>I can make money, \u2018cause I have before I knew you. He was on drugs. He was on <em>hard <\/em>drugs. He was a <em>pusher<\/em>. But he got converted. And he said, <em>why<\/em> don\u2019t the people help? <em>Why<\/em> won\u2019t the people help? And it is a good question, you know. What do we need? We need <em>land<\/em>. (Pause) We\u2019ve got to get land out of this <em>country<\/em>. We\u2019ve got to get a plane. We got a jet, they\u2019re starting training. If you want training as a jet pilot, start\u2013 If you\u2019ve got any money that can afford it, we\u2019d appreciate getting the assistance, but we\u2019d like to know the <em>best <\/em>qualified. If there\u2019s any here that have any credentials as pilots, we\u2019d like to know it. We\u2019re starting a program as soon as we can. Say, <em>why<\/em>? Because we don\u2019t intend to be sittin\u2019 here like the Jews were, God\u2019s chosen, uh\u2013 They were the <em>Jews<\/em>, the\u2013 God\u2019s chosen people. Dr. [Richard] Tropp lost all of his people. They said, well, we\u2019re God\u2019s <em>chosen<\/em>, nothing gonna happen to us, but they killed every Jew.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Stirs<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> They wiped \u2018em out. And that Holy Land over there today, the Jews and the Arabs in a fight over a holy cities, and they\u2019re about to kill each other. Wouldn\u2019t be surprised there won\u2019t be much left to pick up before it\u2019s over with. That\u2019s what religion does. Fightin\u2019 over foolishness. (clears throat) Yes, it is.<\/p>\n<p><b>Voice in Congregation:<\/b> too soft<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> What\u2019re we gonna do to get some money? I told you, I was talkin\u2019 from my heart. What\u2019re we gonna <em>do<\/em> to get some money? (Pause) Are we gonna depend upon sisters like this that was crippled and healed of cancer to raise up in her seventies to sell peanut bre\u2013 brittle. If they can do it, <em>surely<\/em> to God, some of the <em>younger <\/em>people can find a way. We haven\u2019t got enough money to even pay these buses. Some of these people think\u2013 somebody told Sister Davis, said, we had to announce today that you don\u2019t get any of the money. She said somebody says you\u2019ve got a pile of money. Why, I\u2019d like to <em>see<\/em> \u2018em. I\u2019d like to <em>see <\/em>the one said that. I\u2019d make him eat \u2018em. I\u2019d make him eat those damn words. What do you mean, in three years, when I\u2019ve got a children\u2019s home, four senior citizen homes, four college dormitories, forty acres, 25 acres in food. (Pause) I missed some of it. Community center. Animal shelter. All in the people\u2019s name. This church, in your name. Go down and look at the county. Then you got the nerve to say I got money? I haven\u2019t taken no money from you. Hell, I couldna been taking money from you and do what I done, \u2018cause these offerings are <em>sick<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> You\u2019ve so\u2013 show me a church that\u2019s paid off. You say, why\u2019d you pay it off? Because if Depression came, I wanted a kitchen in here, and I put the finest kitchen in here, so if a Depression came, we could all eat in here. Hell, there\u2019s enough room, we could all sleep. We\u2019ll not go hungry, \u2018cause I got the food. If we couldn\u2019t move y\u2019all to Redwood Valley right away, we\u2019d be able to feed people here until we were able to move them. I want our churches paid for. And in <em>one <\/em>year\u2013 this church is one year old. One year old. And every damn brick, and every n\u2013 nail, and every pane of glass has been paid for, and a whole new modern kitchen, so don\u2019t you talk to me about taking money. People were <em>critical<\/em> in <em>this <\/em>room, and I don\u2019t give a damn, you can <em>be <\/em>critical, but I stopped it for a little dog that\u2019d been hit, and he had distemper, but that dog \u2013 the picture disappeared \u2013 and that dog was healed, and the woman that was taking care of him, her numbness in her arms was healed, and the picture disappeared. And I said, the shit it is. <\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Soft laughter<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> And then she hadn\u2019t\u2013 if she had not been worried about what I was talking about, and it kept her mind, and then she down here rollin\u2019 while ago, she was rollin\u2019 while ago when she thought I was just a healer, but she died when she thought I was a cusser. Well, I\u2019m <em>both<\/em>. I\u2019m a goddamn cussin\u2019 healer, that\u2019s what I am. Somebody starts dyin\u2019 in their midst, you won\u2019t see \u2018em say, take them on a walk, goddamn \u2018em, they can\u2019t die. <em>Shit<\/em>, you won\u2019t see nothing like that.<\/p>\n<p><b>Congregation:<\/b> Applause<\/p>\n<p><b>Jones:<\/b> How you doin\u2019, Sister White?
