The conversation includes Jones\u2019 reported affirmations by Guyana officials.<\/p>\n<p>In a memo entitled \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/jonestown.sdsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/04-16-CarolynToWhom.pdf\">To Whom It May Concern<\/a>\u201d written about the same time, Carolyn Layton outlines how far the Jonestown community was prepared to go to in preventing its residents from being forced back to the United States against \u201cthe collective will,\u201d and how it depends upon the Guyana government for support. She recorded many of her conversations with the ambassador, conversations which included many references to a cross-section of Guyana officialdom and Temple leadership.
