Dennis Banks<\/strong>, an activist with the American Indiana Movement whose requested extradition from California to South Dakota in 1975 was challenged by Peoples Temple \u2013 and who became a cause celebre<\/em> for the Temple as a result \u2013 died<\/a> on October 29, 2017.\u00a0The connection between Jim Jones and Banks was noted on October 30 in Breitbart News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Powers Boothe<\/strong>, whose career as an actor included a portrayal of Jim Jones in the 1980 TV miniseries Guyana Tragedy<\/em>, died<\/a> on May 14, 2017.<\/p>\n
