Subject: RYMUR<\/p>\n
PURPOSE<\/u>: To respond to CID request for review of documents recovered at Jonestown, Guyana.<\/p>\n
DETAILS<\/u>: CID Addendum to Bureau airtel to San Francisco dated January 10, 1979, attached, requested Intelligence Division to review documents and furnish comments as to any FCI interest in RYMUR. A review of attached indicates a proposed transfer of People’s Temple (PT) funds to the Soviets. This matter is not within purview of FBI’s jurisdiction; however, it is recommended that CID make appropriate dissemination e.g., to CIA.<\/p>\n
Intelligence Division will subsequently furnish comments as requested by J.O. Ingram\u2019s memorandum to D.W. Moore, Jr., dated December 28, 1978, regarding PT contacts within the CPUSA. Leads remain outstanding with assets.<\/p>\n
