SC 100-4033 (Jim Jones, SM-C). On 1\/13\/72, Floyd Ebbers and [name deleted], Modesto, CA, advised that, as a result of a radio broadcast, a friend, Mrs. [name deleted], attended a one day spiritual meeting at Redwood Valley, CA. The speaker was Jim Jones, a black male who professed a belief in communism and a desire to unite with the Red Chinese. He indicated someday the U.S. would be under the rule of a Maoist form of government. As the meeting broke up Jones reportedly said, “I am your Father and I command you to be still and listen to me. Sometime in the not too distant future we will go to the cave and even a whisper in the cave could mean your life. Condition yourself to listen to me and heed my command.”<\/p>\n
Mrs. [name deleted] apparently had no intention of attending more meetings.<\/p>\n
This information was furnished San Francisco and Los Angeles by letters dated 1\/24\/72 and 3\/14\/72. By letter dated 3\/21\/72<\/p>\n
