Reference San Francisco teletype dated November 22, 1978.<\/p>\n

[Deleted name] [Steven Katsaris<\/span>] interviewed Roosevelt Roads Naval Hospital this date regarding questions posed in referenced teletype. Interviewee had no specific knowledge regarding planned trouble during Ryan’s visit. He also advised he had no specific knowledge regarding shipments of weapons to Guyana. He pointed out, however, that Deborah Layton (mentioned in previous San Juan teletype) would have specific information regarding weapons.<\/p>\n

He also pointed out that People\u2019s Temple (PT) member Don Sly, residence unknown, previously arrested by Lake County, California authorities, is an explosives expert. Sly is described as white male, 35 years old, six feet tall, 155 pounds, dark short hair, prominent nose. Sly should be considered extremely dangerous.<\/p>\n

Interviewee advised that at one time PT did have a paramilitary force and change in the hills surrounding Redwood Valley, California.<\/p>\n

According to [Steven Katsaris<\/span>], prime targets for possible retaliation by PT members would be Tim and Grace Stoen, Deborah Layton, and Steven Katsaris.<\/p>\n

Weapons such as shotguns, pistols, and rifles were stored at PT in San Francisco according to [Steven Katsaris<\/span>].<\/p>\n

[Steven Katsaris<\/span>] further advised that the PT have bank accounts in Panama and possibly Europe. Deborah Layton could probably under hypnosis provide pertinent account numbers. [Steven Katsaris<\/span>]\u2019s daughter, Maria, now verified as being deceased, a Jonestown member, made numerous trips to Grenada, West Indies, Trinidad, Caracas, Venezuela, Barbados and Panama. [Steven Katsaris<\/span>] speculates that she was doing this<\/p>\n

in regards to possible money deposits. Traveling with Maria during these trips was Deborah Touchette, a current member, and who may be alive in Georgetown. Deborah Touchette is described as black female, 26 years old, 5\u201961\u201d [5\u20196\u201d]; 125 pounds, and short Afro.<\/p>\n

[Steven Katsaris<\/span>] advised contingency plan if anything happened to Jones or Temple was to move group to Cuba or Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

The following are ex-members of the PT, their addresses, and descriptions:<\/p>\n

1. James Cobb, Human Freedom Center, Berkley [Berkeley], California, Negro male, 27 years old, 6\u20191\u201d tall, 190 pounds and short black Afro; 2. Teresa Cobb, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California, Negro female, 30 years old, 5\u20196\u201d tall, 135 pounds, straight black hair (sister to Jim Cobb); 3. Deborah Layton, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California, white female, 25 years old, 5\u20194\u201d, 125 pounds, black short hair; 4. Wayne Pietela, Petaluma, California (can be located at Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California), white male, 30 years old, 175 pounds, 5\u201910\u201d, brown hair; 5. Tim Stoen, Human Freedom Center,<\/p>\n

Berkley, California, white male, 40 years old, 5’7″, 145 pounds, black hair with gray; Grace Stoen, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California, white female, 33 years old, 5’6″, 110 pounds, black short curly hair; 7. Mickey Touchette, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California, white female, 28 years old, 110 pounds, 5’5″, light-brown short hair; Al and Geanie [Jeanne] Mills, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California, of whom San Francisco and Bureau are aware.<\/p>\n

[Steven Katsaris<\/span>] further noted that Tim Carter is a member of the PT Planning Commission. Three or four weeks ago he came to San Francisco and told him “the Concerned Relatives group” that he had defected. Carter was very interested in what the “Concerned Relatives group” would be doing in Guyana. The day the group left San Francisco en route Guyana, Carter disappeared. Carter may have stayed at a hotel in Oakland. Members of the “Concerned Relatives group” in Berkley may provide name of hotel. Information by [Steven Katsaris<\/span>] reveals Carter may have left for Guyana via New York City. [Steven Katsaris<\/span>] heard Carter has been arrested in Georgetown, Guyana. [Steven Katsaris<\/span>] feels<\/p>\n

that Carter is a “false defector” and was spying on the “Concerned Relatives group”. No description available regarding Carter.<\/p>\n

[Steven Katsaris<\/span>] feels that he and his family will receive harm from Tom Adams, a San Francisco Temple member, and Sandra Bradshaw, also known as Sandy Ingram (wife of Lee Ingram) also a San Francisco PT member. Adams is described as white male, 35 years old, 5’10”, 165 pounds, black hair and wears glasses. Bradshaw is described as white female, 33 years old, 5’6″, 125 pounds, sandy-colored hair and wears glasses.<\/p>\n

[Steven Katsaris<\/span>] added that, concerning possible bank accounts, Tim Stoen, supra, would also be likely to have pertinent information.<\/p>\n

The “Concerned Relatives group” gave a list of most dangerous PT members to Al and Geanie Mills, Human Freedom Center, Berkley, California.<\/p>\n

San Juan will interview [Anthony Katsaris<\/span>], Roosevelt Roads Naval Hospital this date.<\/p>\n
