On Nov 27, 1978, at 11:40 A.M. PDT, [name deleted] contacted Fresno RA and stated that Dan White was not known by him to be a member of the People\u2019s Temple (PT). He stated, however, a lack of obvious connection between White and PT should not rule out Mayor Mosconi\u2019s [Moscone\u2019s] assassination as a PT retaliation. [name deleted] stated that this was typical of the way Jones would mask his criminal acts. [name deleted] <\/p>\n

reiterated Jones\u2019 power and influence in SF politics and claimed that by intimidation, bribery, black mail, and extortion White could have been influenced by PT to murder Mosconi. [name deleted] stated he had no solid evidence or reasons but believed that in light of Mosconi\u2019s murder authorities should be alerted for an attempt on Mayor Tom Bradley.<\/p>\n
At 11:45 A.M. PDT, [name deleted], reporter, KMJ TV Fresno, California, received a telephone call from a male who indicated he was calling from SF and was familiar with [name deleted] of KMJ’s news department. He stated he had information regarding Mosconi\u2019s assassination in SF. He stated he was a current member of PT and that Dan White was a former member. Caller stated assassination was definitely a PT retaliation. Caller said if White gets out of SF he is going to Rancho Cordova, a small town near Sacramento. He said Mosconi was not his only target and Mayor Tom Bradley of LA was next. He suggested KMJ called Bradley’s office and alert him.<\/p>\n
[name deleted] stated caller indicated he was flying to Fresno this afternoon and might recontact [name deleted]. Caller described as articulate male probably white in 20\u2019s. Caller very concerned <\/p>\n

At 12:10 PM PDT, SA [name deleted], USFS Fresno, received call from male who stated he had tried to call FBI Fresno but received no answer. He stated he knew [name deleted] who is currently assigned to Fresno FBI. Caller told [name deleted] that Mosconi\u2019s assassin, Dale (sic) White was en route to Rancho Cordova via Livermore and Castro Valley driving a 1978 silver over light blue van. He claimed this was retaliation murder and that White was connected to PT. He himself claimed to be a member but was leaving. He stated he had seen the “hit” list and Mayor Tom Bradley was to be assassinated tomorrow morning. [name deleted] asked who else was on the list and caller hung up. [name deleted] described caller similar to [name deleted]. Caller stated he was calling from SF and was very concerned about being taped or traced. SA [name deleted] advised caller might be former [information deleted] or one [name deleted], a suspect in SC 52-3026. SF is referred to SF let to SC dated Nov 16, 1978, on SF 183-380.<\/p>\n
It now appears caller to TMJ and SA [name deleted] are probably same individual. Also [name deleted], reporter for Clovis Independent, Fresno, suburban newspaper, received similar call at about <\/p>\n

11:30 A.M. PDT. SA [name deleted] knows [name deleted] voice and eliminated him as caller.<\/p>\n
LA at LA. Insure Mayor Bradley advised of threat.<\/p>\n
SC will review above files an effort to locate [name deleted] and [name deleted] re knowledge of PT.<\/p>\n
At Fresno will interview [name deleted].<\/p>\n
