The envelope was opened at FBI HQ and it contained a smaller manila envelope within it was a white letter sized envelope. The white envelope contained a folded note. The Bureau typed version of this note is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDad Dad: I see no way out \u2013 I agree with your decision \u2013 I fear only that without you the world may not make it to communism \u2013 ish (word believed to be Fish or Tish)<\/p>\n<p>PAGE TWO DE HQ 0050 UNCLAS E F T O<\/p>\n<p>For my part \u2013 I am more than tired of this wretched, merciless planet &amp; the hell it holds for so many masses of beautiful people \u2013 Thank you for the only life Ive known\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Bureau will afford orginal [original] notes and appropriate 302\u2019s as well as a zerox [Xerox] copy of the note by airtel.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco at San Francisco conduct appropriate investigation and attempt to identify PT individuals using name Fish or Tish.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco should note that the Peoples Temple list provided by attorney Garry lists following possibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Number 141 \u2013 Patricia Pauline Cartmell, aka Trisha Cartmell, DOB July 3, 1954; white female.<\/p>\n<p>Number 261 \u2013 Leatitia Eikler [Eichler], aka Tish Leroy, DOB September 14, 1930; white female.<\/p>\n<p>Number 417 Leticia Jackson, DOB (none); black female.<\/p>\n<p>Armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>[Handwritten note] Administrative note:<\/p>\n<p>On page 1 paragraph 1 the word following communism appears to be 4 letter word with first letter unknown.<\/p>\n<p>On page 2 line 3 the word only should be underlined.
