Because Pan Am refused to board any of the adult male survivors of the People’s Temple disaster who were scheduled to be repatriated on Sunday, we have had to place the individuals listed below on subsistence until as we can repatriate them. Each of these individuals has claimed to be destitute. In each case the Department has already authorized a repatriation loan. A subsistence allowance of approximately US $25 to US $30 is required daily for each from Sunday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 6, when they will be able to leave aboard Pan Am flight 228 for New York.<\/p>\n

Numbers following each of the 14 names are keyed to questions ref. 6, part A. for each individual, the following number[s] are omitted for the stated reasons:<\/p>\n
