On December 4, 1978, the Department of State provided a list of Peoples Temple (PT) members currently in Guyana awaiting repatriation to the United States. This list has been reviewed at FBI Headquarters for information indicating which individuals may be potentially dangerous.<\/p>\n
The following list contains the names of individuals currently in Guyana which have been identified by one or more individuals as being a member of Jones\u2019 personal staff, Planning Commission, security force, “basketball team” (alleged to be identical with security force), Angels (elite corps of hit men<\/p>\n

assigned to carry out criminal assignments), or to have other information regarding internal workings and plans of the PT.<\/p>\n
Paula Adams, number of personal staff and Planning Commission;
\nEdith Bogue, personal secretary to Reverend Jones;
\nTiena [Teena] Bogue, member of the security force;
\nMichael Carter, member of security force and hit squad;
\nTim Carter, member of security force and hit squad, chief enforcer for PT, reported to have been in San Francisco prior to Ryan’s visit attempting to obtain information regarding Congressman;
\nJohn Raphael Cobb, basketball team\/security force;
\nHarold Cordell, firearms training instructor, head of security;
\nCalvin Douglas, security force;
\nLee Ingram, “coach” of the basketball team\/security force;
\nJames Warren Jones, Jr., basketball team\/personal staff of the PT;
\nStephen [Stephan] Jones, basketball team\/security force, Angel;
\nTimothy Glenn Jones, basketball team\/security force;<\/p>\n

Larry Layton, member of the Angels;
\nCleveland Newell, basketball team\/security force;
\nMike Prokes, hit squad;
\nOdell Rhodes, hit squad;
\nDebbie Touchette, Planning Commission of the PT reported to have traveled throughout the Caribbean with Maria Katsaris regarding financial transactions including secret bank accounts of the PT, member of Angels;
\nMichael Touchette, personal staff of the PT;
\nPreston Lee Wade, basketball team\/security force;
\nWalter Lee Williams, basketball team\/security force;
\nBurrell Dernaro Wilson, basketball team\/security force.<\/p>\n
The above information is being provided to New York to facilitate interview of these individuals upon their return to the United States.<\/p>\n
