The deleted information from the memorandum \u2013 designated by brackets \u2013 which is known to the editor has been indicated by red type.]<\/p>\n<p>FBI Airtel<\/p>\n<p>Date 12\/4\/78<\/p>\n<p>TO: DIRECTOR, FBI (89-4286)<br \/>\nFROM: SAC, NEW ORLEANS (89-184) (P)<br \/>\nRYMUR<br \/>\n00: SF<\/p>\n<p>On 12\/1\/78, [name deleted] [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lou Gurvich<\/span>], New Orleans Private Patrol Service, Incorporated, 300 Poydras Street, Suite 1102, New Orleans, La., telephone (504) 525-7111, appeared at the New Orleans Office of the FBI and made available telephone bills received at the company from 1\/1\/77 through 1\/1\/78. These telephone bills reflect long-distance calls made by Jan [Jann] Elizabeth Gurvich, daughter of [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lou Gurvich<\/span>] and one of the victims of instant matter. These calls were made by Jan Elizabeth Gurvich and charged to the New Orleans telephone number (504) 525-7111. There are numerous telephone calls made by her to various sections of the United States, as well as several telephone calls made to areas outside the continental United States.<\/p>\n<p>On 12\/4\/78, a review of the above-mentioned toll records was made by Supervisor [name deleted], and the following is a list of the telephone calls made by Jan Elizabeth Gurvich to numbers outside of the continental United States. For information of FBI HQ and San Francisco, the telephone records will be maintained by the New Orleans Office and in the event it is desired that all calls made by her be recorded, it is requested New Orleans be advised in order that this may be accomplished.<\/p>\n<p>The following is a result of the above-mentioned review:<\/p>\n<p>[4 pages of telephone records follow]<\/p>\n<p>NO 89-194<\/p>\n<p>112\/4\/78, [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lou Gurvich<\/span>], supra, advised [name deleted], Jan Elizabeth Gurvich, had a male acquaintance by the name of Roberto (LNU) [last name unknown] who she may have called in Mexico and the numbers referred to above in Mexico may be, in fact, those belonging to Roberto (LNU). [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lou Gurvich<\/span>] advised he could not further identify this individual. Also, according to [<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lou Gurvich<\/span>], his brother [name deleted], stated to him the calls to and from Chile may be connected to one [name deleted], a close friend of Jan Elizabeth Gurvich and allegedly from Chile. [name deleted] advised [name deleted] is currently in California and may be possibly reached at telephone numbers [deleted]. [name deleted] advised he did not know if [name deleted] had been in the People&#8217;s Temple, but believe she had been and was able to get out.<\/p>\n<p>The above numbers are being furnished to FBI HQ and San Francisco.
