What is sisterhood?
It is a shared experience with someone you trust.
It is loving someone through thick and thin.
It is mutual protection when you can do it.
The control/one on top passes seamlessly with an embrace
Back and forth, back and forth.
It is responding when asked.
It is to come running when asked.
It is even to stay away when asked, lurking nearby and available.
And, with all that, there is no mention of blood ties.
Sisterhood is the ability to open up and love.
We survivors of Peoples Temple, with all of our baggage
Want to give and take from this strong current
And that is why we gather together.
Sisterhood
