This tape consists of a reading of the Constitution (Fundamental Law) of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic, adopted at a Session of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in October 1977. The recording could have been made by a member of Peoples Temple – there are enough pauses, restarts of sentences and repeated words to suggest that it was not a professional production – but there is no commentary beyond that included in the published version of the constitution in book form.
