Summary:

(Editor’s note: We are grateful to both Casey Strain and Mike Hansen for providing the sources of the quotes below.)

This tape consists of a set of sentences repeated in sequence, three or four times each time. The whole set is repeated four or five times. The sentences are:

“You decide to investigate, and you never return.”

“For each time you step outside your house, they attack.”

“I want to kill you.”

The first two quotes come from the Walt Disney Records LP entitled Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House, released in 1964 and re-released in 1973. The album was mainly composed of sound effects that had been collected by the sound effects department of Walt Disney Studios. The third voice is that of musician Jim Morrison during his monologue on the track “The End” from the Doors’ first eponymous album.
